Masterclass demonstrating how DooM gameplay is nót intended to be. Definitely. OMFG, all those horribly stupid and uninspired, not to say: ultimately lazy, sudden monster popups in cramped areas... This has nóthing to do with gameplay, it just creates huge irritation. So from a gameplay perspective this is IMHO a complete WOT, and after that conclusion the other aspects obviously don't mind anymore. Overall: 1* for the on places technically inventive effort. Man oh man... /nofi, obviously, but :shakes_head:x

A stunning small and compact bunch of levels. Bucketloads of cool textures, with great gameplay all round. Still stands up today. -TRRobin.x

I prefer this over Congestion by a little. The only thing I take a point off for is crampedness at times, but it didn't bother me all that much. (The other Claustrophobia 1024 pretty much hits me exactly the same way, maybe just a tiny bit below this is overall quality.)x

no, this is shit for several reasons, teleport ambushes in 80% of each map, the majority of which are hitscanners who fire IMMEDIATELY without proper warning, not to mention "behind the back" spawning from larger monsters, and excessive overdetail that contributes to cramped unfun play. this is more frustrating than fun. play this thing's sequel, or Congestion 1024 instead.x

I rarely mind the cramped layout of 1024 maps too much, and I didn't here either. The 'sequel' is almost as good (not quite). I do think 2048 should be a new standard these days, and I'm a bit disappointed the currently 'Plutinya' project went with 1024, but who knows depending on the authors there could still be some very good 1024 maps yet to come (not to mention, I love Plutonia). Anyways for this wad it gets my highest recommendation out of any of the 1024 megawads.x

I like this one much more than the original 1024 (not to say there was anything wrong with it). The levels are very creative. They are never too small or cramped to see up and down stairs like in the original. The new textures are great. It is at just the right level of challenge on Ultra-Violence. Interesting Icon of Sin level too. 4.5/5.x

My favorite of the three 1024 megawads. With the size limit these are also good 'short map' megawads but in a rather different vein compared to something such as Scythe where the maps are naturally short rather than being designed within specific limits. I don't know, the 1024 megawads just have a feeling of their own, but I'm not complaining. In fact I'll give a 5/5 here.x

Finally! a zdoom wad that I actually get to play instead of getting murdered on the spot! great puzzles to solve, watch your back, hmmm I missed a secret.. go back try again, found it! This is what the game should be, and I dont need god mode IDDQD to survive!!! FUN! Thanks to the awsome designers of these levels! 10 out of 10 !!!!!! x

Not worthy of being called a successor to the masterful Congestion 1024. It's okay, but it's also riddled with sub-par textures and level design. It also gets way too hard, way too fast, even on Hurt Me Plenty i had to cheat constantly as i just kept dying. All in all, it's not very good. 3/5.x

Seconding Demonologist. Didn't even make it past Map01 before I got fed up with the arbitrary monster "popup ad" teleports that basically mean you can't avoid getting hit without having memorized all those spots. 2/5, both points for looking great otherwise.x

Hoooooly crap! This wad is pure awesomeness. I didn't expect it to be this good. One of the best megawads of our time, and far better than its predecessor Congestion 1024. It's a bit hard and filled with really nasty traps, but is also one hell of an excitement and fun! Very original and creative, map design is wonderful (best I've seen yet), music is great, everything is perfect. There should be more wads like this. 10/5 - no question.x

Fighting monsters in very tight spaces is not everyone's favorite style to play. The final map is extremely hard, and sometimes the "compressed" levels are complicated to navigate. Yet, neat level design and non-stop action compensate for some difficult, sometimes next to impossible combat situations. You will finish this in a few hours, but not a single minute will be wasted. 5/5 - NightFrightx

"Boom and Boom-compatible ports." Ok, so under comp. options in GZD I choose "Boom", right? Wrong, because the switch for the secret exit on map15 is NOT there, only on "default". Honestly, I don't care whether it's the map or the port(whatever test/svn/beta version), because I'm so tired of this buggy crap.x

HOW CAN YOU DOWNLOAD THE SOUNDTRACKS FOR THIS GAME?!?!!? a 55 its a wonderful WAD but i'd LOVE to be able to listen to the many entrancing songs on it. i think the music made me able to run past this; gave me a rush each time.x

Congestion 1024 - much more better. most of all, i did't like music. levels contain so much undoom textutes,, but, how it is said: the tastes differ 3.5/5x

Gameplay sucks. If you like to get ambushed in a tiny room with no place to hide every time you press the switch/grab the key - this one is for you, but not for me. And maps in general are much worse than in its predecessor. The whole megawad is still can be completed in one day though, so it haven't consumed all of my time... 3/5 - Demonologist x

Well i think the last level should be the pinnacle of excellence in the wad, even better than the rest of the levels. I frankly think that the last level doesn't do it for me, much like for everyone else.x

Some maps suffer for being little more than a switch hunt. Overall the ammo is too generous and the difficulty seems inconsistent. That said, in general the maps are well-designed and the gameplay is fun. Overall a good set of interesting maps. If only Congestion 1024 had been even half as good as this. Enjoyed Mechadon's work in particular - keep up the good work!x

This truly is a worthy successor to our beloved 1024 series. I never thought one could get lost in a 1024 map (Diminished Apparatus), some maps actually felt much bigger than they truly are. 5/5 x

The best of the 1024 megawads to date. Some very good and challenging maps in here even though some of the maps are very cramped in areas due to the amount of detail. Some of the music is great, especially the music in map05. I'll rate this 4.5/5 stars.x

Some good and some bad maps in here! It strikes me how somone can make a 1024 map that leaves the player wondering where to go next like Map22 and there were some more of this type. I also had to quit the game after flipping several switches in map30 wich seem to have no purpose at all, while hordes of enemys raped me from all possible angles. 3/5x

Previous reviewer prefers Mario :) This map was so good in places that I meant to stop the game and report it here but I just could not stop playing. Brilliant work. Some maps not so good but the majority are masterpieces and some are beyond the average players ability (well on UV -fast it is). 5/5x
