| Superb wad as always by P. Corfiatis. It really stands out as a quality made wad today. The biggest draw with this wad is it's fun factor. Very fun to play. 5 stars, what a blast. -TRRobin. | x |

| I enjoyed the music and some of the traps, but there are better E1 replacements (like Phobos Revisited). My biggest complaint is the over-abundance of ammo and "piece of cake" game play, even with difficulty mods. The authors may as well have told us to type IDKFA instead of bothering to place ammo (either way you are maxed out). The only map that has balanced game play is E1M7, which I did enjoy. Otherwise, I found myself blazing through each map no challenges. 3/5 | x |

| I suppose Paul Corfiatis really likes Knee-Deep in the Dead. I mean, there was also some scene in 2002ADO's E3M7. However, nice work, deserves 10 stars out of five ^^ | x |

| I enjoyed this. The end is kinda poor. 4.5/5 - Optimus | x |

| Very easy E1, with the second to last level being the only one that really did me some damage (plenty of health and ammo meant I only once felt in danger), combined with a very fun E2M9. The overall pack is very well done and really enjoyable. 5* -Phobus | x |

| Still 5/5, even if that visplane overflow bug didn't get fixed yet. What a pity. | x |

| Just randomly cut and pasted bits from episode 1, pretty lazy. | x |

| Pretty smooth and fun, and a great recreation of episode one with only one snag: the original was more atmospheric than this. | x |

| Another excellent mapset from pcorf and Nebula. Very reminiscent of Doom's episode 1. I can't wait for the Episode 2 replacement. | x |

| Very sexy map, a little light on challenge but not completely trivial. Took me about 2 minutes of playing before I had to tab back and give this 5 stars. -cjwright79 | x |

| Nice old-school episode replacement. Plays pretty much just like the original E1 - easy, fast-paced, and damn fun. | x |

| Whoever gave this 3 stars just doesn't like the classic style. | x |

| Awesome wad! Even if there is a "visplane overflow" bug in E1M1 after you take the stairs to the left in Vanilla Doom 1.9! 5/5 anyway! | x |

| Well, it sure looks like Paul can match that E1 style! Right up with CH Retro, you really have to check this one out! Oh, and don't miss E2M9 - this bonus level, while different in style, is one of the very best! | x |

| Paul's done it again! This time, it's in the classic E1 style. And this wad does indeed capture E1's feel very well - only it looks nuch nicer and has all-out better map design. All aspects are definantly up to PC's usual standards. Unless you are absolutely sick of E1 style wads, this is an absolute must-play! Oh, and don't forget the bonus map E2M9 - it may not be E1 style but it is definantly not to be missed! 5/5 | x |

| Very cool take on Episode 1. Now why don't you make Simply Deimos, so we can have an E2-style wad that's not made by a blind monke--I mean Sandy Petersen? --Woolie | x |

| This wad is from 2004, but it feels like 1994. It's very pure, straightforward and overall quite easy, except for the map by Kristian Aro (E2M9).
Authentic Doom style also with regards to gameplay and monsters, where the Baron is the hardest of the first episode. The rest is mostly Zombies, Demons and Imps.
It has a nice feeling but I missed some more challenging situations. 3/5 -Milian | x |

| Another great Paul wad. I can hardly list all of his wads, and I'm sad to hear that the now DT3 may be his last ever - although it is certainly an awesome way to end. Another 5/5, and I think this, CH Retro, and that one fron ReX (Phobos Revisited I think) are all examples of what E1 should have been like in the first place. Also, Classic Episode has some great E1 style maps, but also styles from other episodes. | x |

| Excellent wad - Very atmospheric levels. Enemy and weapon balance is almost perfect. I played the entire thing in one sitting, it's that good. 5/5 | x |

| Quite possibly the best Doom 1 levels I have ever played. The ground-popping shotgun guys should be removed though. I would like to see phobos levels that break away from the trend of having baron of hell enemies at the finish, as well as secret exits that I never find ^^. To the reviewers, just because this is named "phobos" doesn’t mean it has to adhere to all the exact same level design features of the original (such as same amount of doors/teleporters, same ceiling height...). 4 Stars --- Starburst. | x |

| Very nice wad, but it has one flaw that infects most E1-style wads and prevents them from really matching the original stylistically: too many 128-high rooms! Most of the indoor areas in E1 were 72 units high.

| I'll give it 3 stars for the excellent map design and nostalgic feel of the levels. But as others have said it's too easy(as is Knee Deep In The Dead). Still excellect job for what you were trying to accomplish. | x |

| I had fun playing this wad in Zdaemon coop
with a small number of players. The structure
was very well designed to keep coop in mind.
Could have made it a bit more challenging,
though. Good Job! 4/5

| Well, for starters I'll give this *****. Very E1 for the first 3 maps. Afterward uses too many gates, skulls, etc. and have a less E1 feel. Even in the first 3 I was disappointed with stuff like too many UAC doors. Your M3 has 20ish. E1 had 2 total. There's way too many doors in general, Ep1 wasn't very obstructed. Teleports are too frequent, E1 only had one. I could probably comment a lot more. Not as consistently E1 as I'm sure you're capable of but overall a great wad. -sargebaldy | x |

| Class, but I think that I overdosed E1 style mapsets. Main grip with these kind of maps is their low difficulty level - final fight here is a walk in the park. It's very linear, too - map literally guides you from one keycard to another. Treat for doom beginners, though. I'm gonna give it 4/5, because despite my views, it's very well done -- Brun Ohn | x |

| An awesome e1 replacement that provides a huge portion of nostalgia. Some maps actually look like the original ID designers made them, thus I can call the author a real Pro-Mapper. Very Highly Reccomended -NMN | x |
