     | Very well done megawad, when you progress play each levels original first before heading to the next level of the remake, its gives the best experience of playing a good old raw 94 level, and the way its done now, good job. 5/5 -Archy- | x |

     | Great concept and pretty good execution too. Found a few texture errors throughout the maps but nothing that breaks it. Music credits would be nice. Where the HECK is map17's music from? It's so familiar.. | x |

     | pretty good, although doesnt actually run in boom. boom and mbf bomb on exit of map01. runs fine in prboom+ however. kinda disappointing for anyone wanting a truly retro experience but the maps themselves are quite nice. would have been considerably better if it stuck to vanilla limits like the originals. using prboom features to tune up old maps is kinda cheating. | x |

     | It wasn't executed in the best possible way, but I certainly beg to differ with anyone who says it's a waste or that it didn't respect its goal at all. The maps have definitely all been improved, sure some aren't great in 2011 still, but I think every one has some new life breathed into it, and there are some real gems of tune-ups (like Map29, for instance). It's really just like every other community project a grab bag and even if I ignored the concept and treated it as new maps I'd still call it decent. 4 | x |

     | Excellent old school dooming.
It's like going back in time and playing the best maps that could be possibly done.
I also haven't had this much fun on a wad in ages.
This gets no less than 5 Stars from me. | x |

     | I like this project and many maps in the WAD, but some maps like map25 and later maps just made me want skip them at all, but at least, they're FAR better than their 1994 counter-part. I can't get those hater why hates but who care, this wad isn't so great but have some fun with them for sure. 3.5/5 -playerlin | x |

     | Taken as a whole I enjoyed this megawad, but the quality of maps vary.
Some of them are great, but on the other hand some of them looks like from year 1994 even after the modifications. 4/5 - Damned | x |

     | "These hypocrites re-do maps somebody else created and they're applauded and it's called a work of art." The original mappers are fully credited and their original work and text files are also included, moron. Maybe the original maps WERE steaming heaps and the revised maps are just better. Get over it. And next time you slate a project, make sure you know what you're talking about. | x |

     | One of the best WADs out there, period. Every single map is unique and enjoyable in their own way - even the gauntlet type maps, which I usually deplore, manage to be pretty fun without using cheap tactics and unfair odds (except for Map 28, which was an unpleasant pain unfortunately). Everybody involved should feel proud of doing such a great job. | x |

     | Should have been a vanilla megawad, for a fair comparison in craft ability between original map and remake. Now any comparison is inherently flawed. | x |

     | I don't give a shit the story behind it; the final result is great and plays well. Some TOP maps, some averages but always fun. And this is a MEGAWAD. Respect. PFL | x |

     | yes, because this is quite clearly a doomworld vs all other doom sites battle. keep making more doomworld! throw that middle finger in the face of zdoom and skulltag and make another! 1995 tune-up let's go!!

     | ^Haters gonna hate. I for one love the idea of taking the 94 levels and tune them to 21st Century standards. Gameplay stays true to the original level while at the same time having more challenge with the added Doom 2 elements. 5/5 -Impboy | x |

     | This gets 0 stars because of the sheer hypocrisy of it. A newbie puts genuine effort into a new and original project and uploads it only to be rewarded with ridicule and the project is called a pile of steaming crap; these hypocrites re-do maps somebody else created and they're applauded and it's called a work of art. For their next trick, perhaps the DoomWorld community could make a Xerox of the Mona Lisa and try to claim credit for it as well. | x |

     | Great idea, and great execution. Hardly any gameplay flaws, and visual design ranges from solid to prodigal. There's a few very minor texture misalignments in places, and in one map (I'm too lazy to check which) it's possibly to get stuck in a fairly major way by revisiting a previously-visited area, but those are forgivable. Hope there'll be a 1994 Tune-Up #2! 4.5/5 - ZZ | x |

     | Contrary to the .txt, unsuitable for coop mode -- if you die after passing certain points in the map, doors stay closed or areas impassable, and you cannot continue. Shame. | x |

     | Some of the tune-ups undeniably come across better than others, but with one or two exceptions they all put a very nice new spin on initially awful to at best average maps! Fine community effort here overall, good job. :) | x |

     | I have been already playing through half of it and some of the levels are simply awesome! Regardless if this is a remake of 1994 maps or a new project, this is a great fun. And I love some of the beautiful sky textures too. 5/5 - Optimus | x |

     | ^ to the above reviewer: galaxia.wad wasn't allowed because the map is copyrighted from the original author, unluckily! Also, awesome tune-up guys! 4.8/5 Daimon | x |

     | It's okay, but the later maps really get stuck in this recent HR2 monster-spam rut of later maps. Also, why wasn't Galaxia.wad included in the touching up? I would have liked to see that. | x |

     | Pretty good. Knee-Deep in 1994, eh? :P Of course, some of the detailing is just too much at times. A lot of these might as well be original maps, for what it's worth. 3/5 --Ceeb | x |

     | Nice job all round team - very glad to have contributed to this laudable salvaging effort! The one problem that I'd imagine it is quite easy to have with the maps here is that sometimes the source material really was a bit beyond saving though. 4* -Phobus | x |

     | Pretty good megawad with lots of nice visuals but its let down by the overall easy gameplay where in a lot of maps the shotgun is overused to kill easy baddies like shotgunners and imps. Despite the easy difficulty a very good effort. | x |

     | An excellent idea, very well executed. Some maps still have occasional gameplay issues, which really can't be helped without severely overhauling the layouts in a few cases, but otherwise an excellent selection with some surprises - and a neat (vanilla-compatible? ) screenshot of the "original" version of each map on the intermission screen. How far we've gone! -ww | x |
