Title: ACASTLE2.WAD (replaces A_CASTLE.WAD)

Description: A_CASTLE.WAD was messed up. Sorry. This one should be OK, if not, send me e-mail and I'll repost.

This is my first serious attempt. Its a castle complete with a two keeps, a moat, and towers of different height (different from rest of castle...you'll see what I mean).

It's mostly an exercise (in building a castle with different heights) so its not really completed yet (as far as populating it with bad guys), but still playable...in fact, add your own bad guys and go ballistic!

NOTE: Send me e-mail and tell me what you think...
Credits: The ID gods (sacrifice a virgin!), Byron Higa & David Battaglia (betabums), and the author of CASTLE.WAD and THEKEEP.WAD and THEKEEP2.WAD for giving me the urge to make this.
Base: New level from scratch
Build time: 40+ hours (DEU kept barfing on it, I kept running out of memory even though the PC I was using had 16Mb of ram)
Editor(s) used: DEU v5.1 (good stuff!) BSP v1.1x Node builder (fast!)
Bugs: None (used to have a pretty bad HOM, got rid of that by moving the exterior walls around).

Not bad.x
Nice oldschool one with castles where you have to raise up bridges to go to one another. Nice level design. Of course horrible 1994 texture allignments but who cares. I only spend sometime around the bigger castle trying to find out where I should go. 4.5/5 - Optimusx
great level!x
Bad: Repetitive texturing; Many ugly texture misalignments. Good: Semi-decent architecture with a consistent theme; A few interesting firefights in cramped hallways; One trap that caught me off guard. Not fantastic, but not a waste of time, either. 2/5 -VVx
Great level.x
"Pretty darn good" for such an old map. -- 4/5x
I enjoyed the layout of this level and there were a few good battles but overall this map disapoints. Worth 2.5/5 in my Opinion.x
