Worse than that, for me the install doesn't even work.

I get as far as picking my install directory, but the install button remains greyed out and unavailable, therefor no install.

    Any way rond this?

It has to be a directory where there's one of the .exes. For me, the folder was c:zdoom, but I'll bet it's different on other systems.

He just uploaded a zip version so that clear up the problems.

I found it easier to run the game after installing. Just went into my programs, it was there and chose which port to use. Worked great, no command line with tons of files and paramaters, no invalid file location etc. Only problem is that only the black baron shows up as an mp3 in JDoom.

I'm really hungover, that last part might have not made sence. What I meant to say is that the black baron is the only new md2 that shows up and the rest stay the same.

*Virgil is happy* Lots of new wads to play this year. :)) There's Alien Vendetta, Underworld, 5-th project, Southern Cross, ...

P.S. Alien Vendetta's "Nemesis" map -> incredible. Did I mention AV kicks ass? So far, I'm only on map15.

"A zip file with a wad and text file. That's all we need."

Indeed. I never install WADS directly into my doom dirs. I usually unzip them to my desktop, run them from the command line, and then add a mini review to the zip to remind myself what it was like. I keep the stuff I really like in a WADs dir.

I managed to get "5th" installed (thanks Crendowing), pulled out the bits I need to run it and made up my own zip.

Seems to work just fine, after a quick run through of the first level it looks very promising. Should be a lot of fun. I'm off to play it properly now.

Heh, you think you're behind? I've only just tasted Map01 and not gotten any farther.

And Enjay, I do half of what you do, but I orgnanize my WADs by game as well in my WADs folder. IOW, I have subdirectories.

The WAD's very good indeed; as I wrote the soundtrack, my views are completely unbiased :-) If u think this is good, you ain't seen nothing yet.

"Bonzi Buddy" anyone? Damn that pop-up ad!

The WAD is very good. Very fresh looking. The sprites, textures and sounds work well IMO, and there is a different sort of feel to the level construction too.

My only gripe is that too often I was unsure what to do after flicking a switch or something. It wasn't always obvious to me what had happened, or what I had to do next. In saying that, it was still a fun play, and I got through, so it can't be a big problem.
