    Doom 3 Done?

    Linguica

Some loyal readers have sent word of a scan that's been circulating the 'net that seems to indicate that Doom 3 is done, what with it saying "it's done" on it and all. The new pose for the Doomguy and the wonderfully 1996-era Exocet font seem to suggest that this is the Real Deal, and not just some lame rumor. So... when can I play it?

Here's a mirror of the scan on Gamespot. - Cyb

Oh, and here's an interesting shot of what looks like a Doom 3 box and 6 CDS FOR CHRISTS SAKE, DIDN'T DOOM 1 COME ON LIKE 4 FLOPPIES?! never mind, apparently it's a fake pic, blah - Ling

Away up in Canada, all but a water pump and a wood cabin for amenities. No computer, no internet, just fresh air, clean water, and good wholesome food, some bike trails, hikes, skinny dipping and natural river made water slides for the past 2 and 1/2 weeks.

Arrived back in the states last night. My friend whose house I'm staying at just informed me a few minutes ago that Doom 3's release date has been announced. Arrived back in town, just in time to have not missed any crucial news on the Doom 3 front. Will have $800 from a job in two weeks. Make my computer Doom 3 ready or save for more travelling adventures?

With my Dooming/computer use way down after 10 years of addiction, Doom 3 now threatens to pull me back into my addicting love affair. Woe is me.

The game will ship on either three or four CDs. Despite the hopes of hard-core gamers, though, there will not be a DVD version of the game, id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead told CNN/Money.

If this is true, I wish that they would've changed the design of the gamebox. I don't understand why they have to keep up the whole Hell Knight hype throughout almost the whole developement for advertisements.
