I know it's outdoors, but it would look more interesting with lighting decoration. If you look at todays' games, look at the lighting detail on the maps.

I know this is Doom, but well since it's gonna run on GL, might as well add the lights anyway... but if it slows down the system too much and destroys gameplay then nevermind.

ZDoom 1.23 doesn't have GL.

There are no real lighting effects needed. It's dark outside, with stars in the sky. The buildings would cast no discernible shadow in any direction. I think if it's pitch black in the sky it should be darker than it is now.

Blodshedder is right. Do ANY one of you see any strong light source that could cast any lighting effects?

That's goofy though... no light sources? Then why the hell are the damn textures so bright? It's as if they produced the light themselves, but hey, whatever... you go ahead and keep thinking that you can see buildings in the darkness, as you do in this screenshot.. and hey, i'm not dissin' Kurt.. he's a great level editor... I'm just sayin'.
