I think we should destroy and attack to hell whoever did this. R.I.P. for all th epeople who died today and God bless them to heaven. I grieve for all the people in New York and whoever did this shall fall. Best regards

Nastradamus' predictions were true the "man made mountains" have indeed trembled, this is the start of War. May we all say grace.

Experienced in watching horror news pictures coming over the TV, I thought there would be not much more shocking left...
All the people I talked with since the news have been delivered by german TV and radio are also shocked to death.

At a time like this, I like to listen to Enya and "Now we are free" from the Gladiator soundtrack. Hmm... slightly ironic song title.

Israel and Britain weren't too surprising, they're historical allies and mostly support whatever the US does. Russia, however, is a different story.

I'm glad to be an American in a time like this. These are the times where we band together and prove that we will not stand down, we will not knuckle under, we will not be bullied. Vengeance will come swift to those who have initiated unwarranted, unprovoked attacks on a fellow man. Cast them to Hell and deny them all bounty. God is graceful and will shed the ultimate light on the correct path, and while it is too late for those who directly and deliberately killed the civilians to repent, I pray that those responsible can redeem themselves before the swift fist of justice and righteousness condemns them to an eternity of suffering. Now is the time for those responsible, after witnessing America's true spirit of brotherhood and comradery, to surrender themselves to a judgment of forgiveness.

Stop me if I'm getting too religious, but this truly is a trial for the devoted Muslims (assuming it was them). "God is great" yes, however God would never allow unprovoked violence on a fellow man who cannot defend himself. It's in the Bible, I'm sure it must also be in the Qu'ran. May those who willed the destruction of the innocent reconsider their piety.

What about all the innocent Muslims that Christian crusaders butchered back in the 13th century?

You cannot say any group is good or evil, it's the individuals in it who are reponsible for the things that happen.

People are more intelligent nowadays. That was also back when people couldn't read and had to rely on the Church to tell them what to think and what the Bible and ancient scriptures said. There was no way for the average Christian to say "hey the Bible doesn't say that!" because he can't read. Not to mention if you crossed the Church you were killed.

All day long I've had Springsteen's song "Darlington County" playing over and over in my head....

    Unbelievable :(

    You shut the fuck up.

I happened to be going on a class trip today, To New York. While arriving, the twin tower had already been hit by one plane. I couldn't believe my eyes. Well, they have sprinklers right?

Within A moment later, I saw the 2nd aircraft. BOOM. Ripped right through the other building. This is what made us leave immediately before the roads out were closed.

Living the experience is very...very....disturbing. Trying to get a grip of yourself during it is simply impossible. It looks bad enough on TV. Now imagine being a mile away and watching it get plowed by a 767. Hard thing to do.

Tonight, I will greive. It is not only an American tragedy. It's an international tragedy. People who commit things such as this deserve to be destroyed. People such as this, do not deserve to live. But, what goes around comes around. We shall see, who has the last laugh.

I am going to pray, which I have not done for a long time, for my country being hurt, my cities, my brothers. God Bless you and you're families.

Bear in mind that in many middle eastern countries, they are at pretty much the same social/cultural level as the western world was in the middle ages.

Yes Lut I know... I'm not sure how to say this but... I think they exagerated the attack on the WTC twin towers. If they really wanted to cause big damage, they shoulda put all the effort they put onto the WTC, onto the Pentagon instead! Am I making sense now?

    ------------------

The WTC had most of the countries major banking and economy run there.

Nevertheless the literacy rate is still quite high, so it would seem to me that all those who promote these violent actions are simply blind followers and fanatics. May God show them the future ramifications of their support of this atrocious act.

Really I feel sad to see that in the World there are still people who wants destruction...

I don't know what is the final objective, the final reason... but really these kind of things are the ones that will drive us to a Third World War!

    God save us.

I think everyone has a misconception about the faith of Islam. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Islam promote peace just as much (if not a little more) than Christianity? That's my understanding anyway. I'm certainly NO expert and I have no close friends who follow Islam so I could be way way off. So if I am wrong, I apologize to those following that faith. But I really think that actual Islam as taught by Muhammid strongly promoted peace.

That being the case, Muslims in general aren't to blame at all. Their faith is not to blame. These twisted terrorists who use that faith to serve whatever their interests are and the idiots who follow them are to blame.

Not to sound insensitive or selfish, but if there is a war, I DON'T WANT TO GET DRAFTED!!!

There hasn't been a draft in decades, relax.

On top of this, no one is blaming the 'TowelHeads' directly, we're blaming SOME Towelheads... some misdirected anger amongst a population of 300 million people that feel personally attacked today is understandable.

Very few religions are about hate and death, almost all of them are about faith and love... it is sickening to see how so many religions over so many centuries have been twisted to such evil measures.

This news was literally chilling. When I heard it, I shivered uncontrollably for hours. I don't live anywhere near NY, or know anyone who does . . . but it's shocking.

I've never been a fan of the US government and at times I almost understand some of the groups that hate America.
But this is horrible! No one deserves this.

I keep hearing stories about people sticking their heads out the windows looking for someone to help . . . people jumping out of windows in desperation . . . someone who escaped said afterwards that he didn't know what happened to the two or three people he saw inside who were in wheelchairs, who couldn't go down stairs on their own.
As well as the thousands of people inside the building who had a very remote chance of escaping, I can't help but think of the passengers of the aircraft who didn't have any chance whatsoever.

And horribly enough, I even saw footage of middle-easterns who were jumping up and down for joy. I'm completely baffled why people could react like this! Even as I listened to all this news I pictured that even the terrorists that organized this felt very grim as they made the orders, but jumping for joy???
I can't believe that anyone would find thousands of innocent deaths in a slow horrifying fashion so jovial.

This event has left me rather numb. Why is there so much hatred out there?

And to xxx: I can't believe you either.

What happened? What's everybody looking at?

    ::::

It's unreal, sureal, and real all at the same time... It's impossible, unimaginable, terrible, devastating; words cannot describe this reality. Oh My God. This is a disturbing point in our history; and it is the sign of our time. The beginning of the end of our society and economy, unless we can kick in and show them what we are really made of. Wanna' bet all the terrorists were on the plane? Knives. What is going on? What is happening? Watching this all, live... Did you see those hysterical people? The terror, the lack of mental movement? We felt it too, and if you haven't yet made the realization, maybe it will happen as you wake up in the morning or as you walk down the hall; it will hit you, and it will degrade your feeling of existence on this planet... Oh, man. ::blurg:: This is THE disaster of disasters.
    Those poor, poor people.
Save a copy of tomorrow's Paper to show your kids, folks. There's gonna' be hell to pay.

I can't even begin to describe how I feel about todays events. Disgusted I suppose sums it up best.
I'll also love to see the terrorists caught. But I don't agree with the US's current position of "We will treat the terrorists and the countries that harbor them equally". There was a lady interviewed on Larry King Live that spoke of conspiracy trials of international terrorists under US laws. She mentioned the possibility of tracking down anyone that was even remotely involved and punishing them to the fullest extent of the law (Death). The US's current posture is more one of "let's save ourselves some trouble and just attack the whole country". Most likely the US will try to play judge jury and executioner in this. Sounds like a recipe for WWIII. God save us all.
