Ah Hellchick, is there anything she can't do?

I'm glad this is POTD, because I've always had a few questions about this picture:

    1. Which gun is he using?
    2. Who's the guy in the distance and whatever happened to him? =P
    3. Assuming that's a Cybie by his feet, why is it so small?
    4. How do we even know that's The Doomguy™? =)

Actually just the first question is relevant.

Gun he;s using is most relevant to the plasma rifle.

Probably coop. But damn, this is the finest artwork for a box I have ever seen in my whole life. That guy in the distance is truely symbolic, and such a thing cannot be surpassed.

Probably because he's stuck in some mud.

Because he's receiving the most attention.

Yeah and where's that spiked ring that he uses with the Ol' Left Hook™?

He always used to have a shotgun in his left hand?? Where'd that go?
These modern Doomguys just aren't what they used to be.. :)

This is the same artwork as was used on the first copy of Doom 1 I bought, its pretty sweet. He wasn't holding a shotgun in that picture either. I always figured the monsters by his feet were barons, despite the gun arm one of them has.

    1. Which gun is he using?
Supposedly the chaingun, since it fires bullets.
    2. Who's the guy in the distance and whatever happened to him? =P
That's a great guy.. My coop partner. :p
    3. Assuming that's a Cybie by his feet, why is it so small?
Notice how the doomguy is staning further up? Although, that looks more like a baron than a cyb though.. ;)
    4. How do we even know that's The Doomguy™? =)
He's the one that kicks ass™.

Yeah there's a lot missing. A large poster came with Ultimate Doom, and I'd say that this is only 2/3 of the complete image.

I still think the scene you see when you boot up good ol' Dos DooM is better than this cartoony stuff. Also, look at his eyes - he's pretty darn serene for a guy who's about to get his arm ripped off by a large, carnivorous minor demon.

All of you whining about the box art need to keep in mind, this is the same picture used on the box for the original Doom.

Only for Gameboy Advance, huh? Heh.

Some hard work has been put into this. "Hellchick" must have spent more than two minutes working on this masterpiece.

Only for Gameboy Advance. Oh, and:

    - PC
    - Linux
    - Macintosh
    - SNES
    - Sega Genesis
    - Atari Jaguar
    - Palm Pilot

    Am I missing any?

I think some of you are missing the point of this kind of artwork. Things are not exactly the same that you find in the game. Those monsters on the pic are MOST likely not supposed to resemble any specific Doom character, they probably just illustrate the monsters in the game in general as being hellish.

I think it's the same gun as the other guy is holding...it looks the same.
