    And Hacx, Strife and Heretic all used the Doom engine as base. Man, how tha hell could id allow that. Damn copycats how can't do a engine themself. Lazy sods.

    id software force other teams to use there engines and pay id a lot of money for having to use it. The reason the underdogs use the engine is because id put all of there effort in to making the engine others can't compete with on the market. It is an evil capitalist plan, and its why id's games are becoming more graphics than gameplay (they can make more money that way). Their offices should be morter shelled and their sports cars written off.

    Well if you and a few other players are battling the programmer and if you killed him then surely all of the players would get a Sigil piece and then the cinematics and etc :-)

    Or was no.7 weapon that plasma gun? (I forgot the name of it) but it surely turned the Acolytes into ashes when i blasted them with it :-)

I mean like kill the programmer and everyone get's a Sigil Piece(only 1 for the players) And when someone finds another sigil piece. The Group gets another Sigil piece(Now that means 2 Sigils for players) and kill the bishop,etc etc etc Remeber Quake 1? The Dimensional Pieces?(I.E. Magic Runes..Such as killing that Boss on Episodes 1 and the coop players get a rune and etc) That's what i'm saying....

    If halflife had better lighting and better models, I'd love it.

    Doom Collectors edition sucked, but I bought it just for the box.

    Yeah but they've sussed making games, which is something ID need to concentrate on a bit more.

    anyone: Does anyone know where I can find a bitmap containing the entire Doom Color Palette in order? I'm into pixel-by-pixel drawing and I'm sick of making my own color palettes.

    extract the PLAYPAL lump doom.wad. the first 768 bytes are the normal palette. load it into ps. save as bmp. done!

    how do I get JUST the first 768 bytes??? thats a lot of counting in notepad...hex maybe?
