Check out XODE Multimedia for new(er) versions of Doom Connector, which allows you to talk to other Doomers and then kill them (via DM of course) via a launcher which supports a wide variety of ports. Also you can grab the OldSkool Launcher which allows you to launch games with any number of params and store those configs for later use. So if you're all fed up with the command line then this may be just what you're looking for. Sadly there's no dates on the page anywhere, so I don't have much idea when anything was released, but there hasn't been any news for days so SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE MISTER!
