    R.I.P. Jason "Amaster" Masihdas

    pritch

Unidoom Radio host and long-time DW forum member Jason "Amaster" Masihdas, who had been inexplicably incommunicado for the past ten days, has reportedly taken his own life, according to friends in a Doomworld forum thread. Our deepest condolences to his friends and family upon this terrible event.

I know this is an old thread but it seems I'm late to the party, so to speak.

I just have to say this is just unbelievable. It seems every time I'm gone for a while and come back, another Doomer, another good person is lost to the forum, to the world and their loved ones.

Since I had joined the forum some years ago, Jason had been a member well before even then. I had always remembered him as a humorous guy, creative and well-spoken, not to mention very capable in terms of the stuff he made for Doom. On ICQ, he was kind and patient and almost always up for a chat. A good guy all around who seemed pretty successful as far as I could tell.

It's tough to reconcile one's feelings about suicide, both religious and philosophical, especially regarding such a good person. Despite all that, though, I hope that he finds his way to "the right place" and knows peace in death. It's probably been said more than once for other fellow Doomers, but I hope they bury him with a rocket launcher no matter where he's headed.

RIP jason, You'll be missed. I didnt know the guy at all, but it's sad that members like toke and him have gone like this. But if he is really dead, i hope it was by his will and hand alone that forced him to his own decision. Well, at least he can play with fellow doomers in heaven now.

R.I.P Amaster, gone but never forgotten. Deepest condolences to his family :'(
