    Speedmapping Results

    The results from the previous three weeks of Speedmapping exercises have been posted on the Speedmapping page, in case you\'re at all interested. Week 8\'s theme was to create a warehouse in a castle, week 9 was to recreate E1M1 strictly from memory, and Week 10 was to create a map with a flooded city. Check it out!

    I could always check out the new E1M1 recreated levels. Something to always get a good hitch from. Now that I think about it... I can't remember the whole map. I use to a big doomer too, thats pretty sad. Time to start thinking about returning to the old Doom game. I hope Doom III has a DM map of E1M1 in the new engine, which would be really nice and cool. Heh otherwise the Oblivion team could always remake one, if that's even legal. Whatever happens I just hope E1M1 is recreated or I'll be pissed.

    If E1M1 makes an appearance in Doom 3, it'll be as some sort of reception area.

    That was a problem with 3ddownloads and all files therein, now fixed

    ... for all 3 that I tried.

    I already hated 3DDownloads with a passion (flaming PITA every time I want to get a file), and they're making it worse :(

    most of doomworld's directory at telefragged is gone.

    Rez -- I have all the speedmapping wads if you want one.

    hey whow - 3ddownloads is empty
    maybe someone made:

    /doomworld # rm -Rf *

    and one of thy sysops noticed it too late and only could

    # kill rm_process
    # passwd root

    BUT: only the Texas Server (ftp.3dd) is scrambled. New York (ftp2.3d) still has all files.
