    Throw it in the Bag

    Ralphis

AlexMax, owner and administrator of the FUNCRUSHER+ Odamex servers, has introduced a revolutionary idea to the Doom scene using Odamex's unique on-the-fly wad loading and in-game downloading features. Players and mappers can submit any small (in file size) deathmatch maps or wads to FC+ and they will be put into rotation on the "Community Grab Bag Server". This is a great opportunity for players to learn how to map, as well as respond to comments and criticism as it comes up in the rotation. For more information, visit the thread right here on the Doomworld forums.

Not surprising, he is a very positive member of the community :-)

Wow, that is a really great idea.

What happens if a map gets uploaded with any kind of serious bugs? I've had on more than one occasion crashed my favorite port due to bad node-building or something similar. Are they screened at all or added in as they come in?

This could also come in handy for getting multiplayer wads through /newstuff more efficiently. Cool stuff.

That's a good point. Also, on the off-chance that someone will try to crash the server deliberately it would be good if Odamex had some kind of built-in crash protection, where if it tries to play a fatally flawed wad it just skips it and goes to the next wad in the rotation.
