Time to Set Your World on Fire

    Naked Snake

Simon and Schuster, the company that published the original Doom novels, has recently released a new Doom novel, apparently set in the Doom 3 universe. Doom 3: Worlds on Fire was released at the end of last month in paperback only. The author, Matthew Costello, wrote the scripts for Doom 3 and its expansion pack, Resurrection of Evil. You can read an excerpt here. You can also buy it on Amazon for $7.99.

Ceases. Also, you don't have to grasp for straws to make fun of Doom 3's darkness. It is way too dark. Also, it sucks.

Hopefully the author will not spoil the fun as happened in the novels and movie (by other authors, I know), stating that the demons are mutated humans, or aliens from space.

This pissed me off immensely, both about the novels and movie. Is it really that hard to just stick to the original idea, which is way cooler and more interesting anyway? As soon as I realized the demons in the Doom novels were actually space aliens, I decided I didn't want to read any more of it.
