    Why Update?

    The sparsely decorated homepage of the Doom level editor Why has been updated with news of a new version available for download. This time there have been loads of additions: various new helper functions for fun & profit, faster screen update (less flicker), and "perhaps the greatentest feature ever": Why now uses the brand new ZenNode 1.1.0 as its internal nodebuilder.

    Now that is what I call a webpage. I do hate picture menus, flash and java scrips all over the place.

    I think I'll try this editor now after the pimping from DoomWorld!

    Yeah, Jussi's editor is really starting to come together. I think there's huge potential here. i especially love the way the editor is the entire screen with no visible windows or menus. Nice big open area. :-)

    BSP cannot handle ZDooM format maps. That's why XWE also uses ZenNode.

    Actually I used ZenNode because it creates the highest quality nodes. BSP causes "texture holes" in openGL ports of Doom, especially Legacy.
