All the weapons work just fine for me... the replaced RL works and makes a big explosion, and the replaced BFG makes a freaking gigantic explosion whenever you fire it with lots of enemies around :)

I used ZDoom and it worked fine... plus, luckily enough, the blood splattered on the walls was translucent, which looks even cooler :) Maybe someone should take this thing and finish it. I know I'd like to see it get done.

Tarin has uploaded his ZCount program to his homepage. It's up to version 1.1, fixing some bugfixes in the old one. The source is also available for download.

Unfortunately KISS: Psycho Circus was in the GOD Games lot and since I'm not 21 I couldn't see it. However, I saw the Dreamcast version which looks kind of blah, but of course that's the Dreamcast version.

The booth babes were pretty good but there weren't as many as I was expecting. It seemed like half of them let after the first day, too. The best ones were in the have-to-be-21 GodGames lot outside E3, where there were some lesbo chicks going at it up on the bigscreen (games? what games?).

Well yes there's jumping and crouching too...

Fanatic has updated his Asylum with some thoughts about the state of the Doom community, his thoughts about the fun of game development, some stuff about QDOOM, Covert Ops, and more.

Umm, no, it most certainly is not Wolf3D-style 2D... that would defeat the whole purpose of using the Quake 3 engine. From what I saw, however, the gameplay was very simple; you just run around and shoot stuff. However, they're throwing in lots of little items you can find and do stuff with... whereas in Wolf3D you could find treasure which would add to your "score," in Return to Castle Wolfenstein you can find weird items which will act as keys or give you more health or ammo or something. The enemies are also a lot smarter than the one in Wolf3D :) However, it does look like a lot of fun, and the controls are as simple as they get... run, strafe, shoot, use. There might be an alt fire key, I'm not sure. Go over to Telefragged to read everything I had to say.

TeamTNT has posted one of their rare updates, announcing that, well, they don't have anything in particular to announce. Work on Doom2000 is continuing, however, but no due date has been set.

Well, their product might still be called DoomServ, but it's moved to a new home at http://www.doomserv2000.com. So, what's new with DoomServ? Work on version 4.0 continues, they're looking for a web page designer (to overhaul the site, I would imagine), and they currently have a contest running to design an official T-shirt for DoomServ.

The Securitron Homepage has one of its infrequent updates detailing progress on episode 3, mentioning that the levels are going well, some new weapons are being created, and, oh yeah, there's two new screenshots for you to check out.

Actually I was supposed to get a UGO press pass but ended up having to use my Gamespy badge which they sent me. And prower: no, booth babes are beneath me :P Being paid to pretend to enjoy having your picture taken with thousands of losers, what a life.

The Doom Wars and Cajun Homepage has redesigned and has some info posted about the Cajun Bot and Doom Wars. Also, there's a new ZDoom version of the Cajun which was released on the 7th, with CTF temporarily disabled but teamplay still intact.

As wonderful as all of that is, please stop advertising your product on these forums unless you're going to give me a share of any money you make because of it :P
