I am wanting to find a very good Soundfont for Gzdoom. I am wondering what do you guys use? I want the most realistic sounding instruments possible for MIDI. Thanks.

Hey, check out this cool new game!

How do I place an object in Doom Builder or GZdoom Builder without the item dialog coming up after placing each item? That way I could place trees more rapidly. Thanks.

Concerning the creation of a Hexen map with Gzdoom builder. How do I get it to compile?
#include "common.acs" script 1 OPEN { door_close(1, 4); }
Do I need a specific Gzdoom builder config? Thanks.

When you realize that if you are quiet as possible after getting the yellow skull in Alien Vendetta map25, the mass of monsters will not spawn in the courtyard when you are heading back to the castle. I love small things like this.

Why does Steam not have Final Doom for SteamOS/Linux?

I have installed Cryptolocker in a Windows XP VM that is not connected to any network. But nothing has happened. Does this need an Internet connection to operate? I know this is very dangerous, but I am not connecting this VM to my network. I ran the executable as an Administrator on SP3 and then the exe deleted itself, but on a fresh XP install, nothing I can see has happened at all. No Cryptolocker window or encrypted files. Do I need to put something into the Documents folder to make it work? I have pasted some Windows XP wallpapers into the Documents folder and this should allow the malicious code to do the work.
I have a feeling that without an Internet connection, I will get nowhere. But experimenting with stuff like this is rather like playing with C4 or WW2 UXO.

Have you experimented with DeCryptolocker?

I have just been playing Arma 3. This game offers far more realism than COD and the sniper challenges are heaps of fun. I never thought I would be able to hit a target at 1327 meters. But I managed it. Some people have sniped at 4000m but 1300 meters is a more realistic distance for fun target practice. Far Cry 3 was annoying as you could only snipe out to about 190 meters before the bullet vanished. And there was no bullet drop. That is why I prefer Arma now. The missions are hard though, you are supposed to take out an airbase heavily defended by yourself? But I am loving this game. +1 for realism.

The base for arma is an actual military simulator, used by armies worldwide ;

I am considering installing a Hackintosh on my laptop instead of Windows 8.1. I am wanting to install Snow Leopard OSX on my laptop. Are there many Doom ports for Apple Macintosh? I would like to play freedoom on a Mac OSX UNIX operating system, but I am not sure what to install, assuming I can get the fscking OS to install in the first place. It was easier to install in Virtualbox. But it runs fairly well once installed. I just want to learn OSX as well as Linux.

I just bought Rage from EB Games. This is a very large gameworld with good gameplay. I was tired of Far Cry 3 and I wanted something new from ID Software. This game certainly fits the bill. I just wish I knew how to take a screenshot of this Steam game? Anyone know? And I am not buying Fraps or D3DGear.
Other than that I loved the first few minutes of the game in the initial play I did. Pity that Doom4 will end up as another Duke Nukem Forever. Imagine Doom4 using the Rage engine. You could build quite large E1M7 styled maps with the ID Tech 5 engine. So what did you think of this game?- Show previous comments 1 more

I got this for about 9.95. This is in a sealed 3 disc pack. The only annoying thing is that it seems you cannot pick up guns from enemies. But the size of the gameworld and the bright sunlight is a good change from the dark depressing Doom 3 world. Any further Doom game should be bright and easy to find your way around. The minimap is very good too.

I just went grocery shopping today and bought about 25.00 worth of stuff; left the store and walked about 200m before I remembered that I forgot to pay for the stuff. How fucked am I? I was too scared to go back so I went home. Life sucks when you forget things.

I'm simply saying that I, personally, wouldn't be overcome with remorse if I accidentally walked out of a huge supermarket without paying for whatever reason. Not over 25 dollars.
Really, they've probably stolen more than $25 from you over the years. Every couple months I notice I got charged for something twice hours after I've left the store, but it's usually too much of a hassle to go back and complain.

I've been hearing lately about cashiers at walmart authorizing cash back in credit and debit sales even when the customers say no to it, then just pocketing it after they leave.

What do you think about this website? Seems to suit me better than Facebook at the moment. And it has a lot of people on here. Does this have better privacy settings than Facebook? We will have to wait and see. But I just wanted to give this european website a go and see how things turn out.
Here are the privacy settings.

I have just bought Far Cry 2. This game set in Africa is a game where you have to hunt a gun runner and fight soldiers. The ability to walk and drive vehicles on a 50 km square map is incredible. I am imagining what this game would be like with Doom monsters in a giant African jungle setting. This would be incredible. You could not have too many monsters in each map, but the stealth aspects would make for tense gameplay.
Imagine waiting for a Mancubus to waddle past a gate before sneaking into an enemy base to steal plans would be god tier Doom gameplay. Just replace African men toting G3 rifles with Zombiemen and Revenants. What do you think?

This is a dumb idea for a thread, but Far Cry 2 becomes a much better game if you install this mod.

I have just said goodbye to my old cat Tessie today. She had an injury from fighting a cat and a large abscess on her chest. She had an infection and the only thing that I could do was have her put down. This sucks; but I still have Bitney and her one kitten to play with so this is not as bad; but I feel bad today though. I need some cheering up.
I could have kept her and given her antibiotics; but she was not eating or drinking so it would have been too cruel.

I did say a mixed bag. Some birds are thought of more fondly than others.
I still think it's an odd thing to say. I have 4 cockatiels and a galah in an outdoor aviary, and there used to be 2 budgies. Only one of those birds is tame, but it still really sucked when those budgies died after seeing them every day for ~9years. -
I used to know a dude who owned about 30 canaries. As pets. When one of them died, he never used to care too much about it.
I suppose the sheer number of them had some effect on the loss of one of them, but even so. Even those people whose houses are filled with cats don't trivialise the death of any one of them. You see what I'm trying to get at, here? -
I think you're generalizing and speaking from ignorance. I wouldn't be basing my opinion about what "people" think of their pets on those that own an excessive number.

I've never heard of anyone getting emotional over a sick fish, snake or scorpion, agonizing over what the best course of action might be. They just let nature take its course, and whatever happens, happens.

One of the kittens that my cat had took a turn for the worse and had a virus. I had to have her put down today. Feeling a bit sad; but he was having horrible seizures and screaming in pain during the attacks.
I took her to the veterinarian today and got the diagnosis so that is what I decided as it was better than letting it suffer. I let the vet take care of the body as that is not something I could cope with. On a happier note the other kitten is perfectly fine. She is perfectly happy and running around like anything.
So it is good that she was spared the virus that claimed my other little bundle of joy :(.-
Fading Kitten syndrome. http://www.all-about-cute-kittens.com/fading-kitten-syndrome.html. I had no choice but to put her down as the mother rejected the kitten and it was getting worse by the day.

Tell me what you think of this. Be kind. I love the rolling hills and the trees on the horizon. -
After learning how to setup Windows 2008 server with group Policies and Active Directory, I am actually starting to like Windows. The only thing that is annoying me is the Metro interface, even Windows Server 2012 has that login interface instead of a standard Windows 2000 styled login menu. I tried to install the Windows 8 RTM x64 in Virtualbox and I got errors and was unable to install the Release Candidate.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate working perfectly with Virtualbox and guest additions, so WTF is up with Windows 8? I made a 25 Gigabyte VDI and the installation said my system needed repair. but I had not even installed it yet.
I will have to get a new HDD and install Windows 8 on that, I have an old IDE drive I could use to test it out, but is there any reason to even use Windows 8 when I have Fedora 17 and Linux Mint 13? Windows 7 is supported for a long time yet and businesses are not going to rush to upgrade to the new Windows when Windows 7 and XP are still prevalent. -

I am currently using Google Android 4.0 for x86 on my Asus eePC and getting used to the interface, but I wish I could get an Xserver running to enable me to run Fluxbox or lXde on this machine. The Android GUI is frustrating. But otherwise it is very good with automounting of USB thumb drives and support for FLAC music playback. I just wish I could find a compatible movie player app that plays Xvid properly.

Not the most ideal option, but they do have an X11 server for Android.

I just purchased this book today, I was wondering what book I could read and this caught my eye in BigW. Kim Stanley Robinson wrote the awesome Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars series and I just had to purchase this book based on his quality science fiction repertoire alone. I wish that we could really build a base anywhere off the planet, but that seems to be an impossible dream right now. -

Look what I found. I was going for a walk and I found this Magpie lying on the ground. It was nighttime, so I think he might be unwell. I put it on the floor and it just laid there and toppled over. Its wings and feet are not damaged and he is not bleeding, so I am not sure what is wrong with it. I will have to wait until the following day and call WIRES wildlife rescue to have him seen to.- Show previous comments 7 more

Well, good luck.

Advantages of the roadkill diet, apart from its low cost, are that the animals that roadkill scavengers eat are naturally high in vitamins and proteins with lean meat and little saturated fat, and generally free of additives and drugs.
