Look what I found. I was going for a walk and I found this Magpie lying on the ground. It was nighttime, so I think he might be unwell. I put it on the floor and it just laid there and toppled over. Its wings and feet are not damaged and he is not bleeding, so I am not sure what is wrong with it. I will have to wait until the following day and call WIRES wildlife rescue to have him seen to.

  Electrocution is a possibility if you found it under some power lines, in which case that magpie's lucky to be alive.

  I've found some birds like a cardinal doing this. I leave them alone because I think they have some disease. Maybe west nile virus did it, but I'm no expert.

  Give it a tiny amount of aspirin diluted in water. That will fix it up.
