I just purchased this book today, I was wondering what book I could read and this caught my eye in BigW. Kim Stanley Robinson wrote the awesome Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars series and I just had to purchase this book based on his quality science fiction repertoire alone. I wish that we could really build a base anywhere off the planet, but that seems to be an impossible dream right now.

The Mars trilogy is great. 2312 is on my to-read list.

I read Red Mars and loved it, my damn library doesn't have any of the other books in the trilogy.
