Ok guys! well this is my first map! (I Dont know if i posted on the right section) well basically it is Winnowing Hall (MAP01- Hexen) "Translated" to Heretic. i Used the original heretic textures and tried to maintain the level same feeling, i hope that i accomplished it! Ooppsss i think that i made a little mess, and you are sure, english is not my native language, i am from Brazil, and i apologize for any inconvenience that i may have caused! My intention wasnt to take credits for the map , i say here that it Is the Original winnowing Hall made by raven Software that i taken from the demo Iwad, i was unaware of the copyright problems when i posted it here. My Intention was ONLY Show how Winnowing hall would can fit perfectly in Heretic, and as a mapping exercise since is the first map i deal with! i Just re-textured the wall changed some sectors an add monsters and decoration,if i forgot to say something in TXT, i'm sorry becouse its my first map and i was "lost", i never thought that it would cause so much problems, If i offended you guys, i'm sorry! i Hope that this explains it all -Lordareonz

well my friend did an wad with winnow hall for doom, and i asked if i could use it to make a heretic one and he allowed that, and i forgot to put his name in the Txt :D

a friend of mine remade it for me, then i changed all things texturized....

Hi! i would like to know if antone knows a map converter that converts Doom/heretic maps to hexen, I found one, Dm2conv, but i hasnt hexen in it, if anyone can help, thanks!

Ok, looks like i just dont explroer the good points of that weapon!

it just inst that, happens that both of them even that they are froms ame storyline they are very diferent, and i want to do some other things, but my will doesnt count, we are discusing the games only, not what i want to do! and back to the subject: I think that what heretic doesnt have is a ultimate Weapon, like the BFG on doom, some people just waits to get the latest weapon, and then is just a normal weapon with nothing much special!

I know much about heretic and hexen, all hsitory all missions, but i want to play just one! is just something of mine GEZ:Hexen really should have had a Tome of Power and use for partially-completed weapons Yeah something that hexen should have is the tome of power. when i am rating the games somethign that i look is the Longetivity, something like how infinite it can be, and heretic looks the perfect choice, because it have the original game + Aditional Maps + map generator + converter from Doom, So its praticly infinite! but hexen dont have much maps, the generator is poor, and convert maps to it give a bit of work :/ And about texture i think both of them are great, heretic the colouts look more vivid, the missions with ice and lava i jsut look nice to my eyes, it looks good :D

Thanks For you POV ( Point Of View), it is very interesting If i would say mine it would be giant, i thinks that Deathmatch in hexen, at same time its something interesting becouse we use classes, it very bad when you are the fighter and need to go chasing other players with the punch! another thing, comparing heretic with doom, its heretic "difficulty" do anyone ever count how much pistol shots need a zombieman to killed? 2 or 3, and in heretic how much eleven wand shots need to be shot in fire gargoyles? it much more! comparing shotgun guy with golem, golem is harder to kill becouse with the shotgun, one shot in him and his is dead, in heretic it takes 2 or soemtimes 3 shots to take them down!

Well it is or not prohibited? should i unlink the wad file? I only has the 1st episode of heretic converted to hexen!

i was Wrong! It was I that dont know how to compile the ACS scripts, but i made some research and sucefully converted heretic 1st Episode to Hexen! there are soem bugs though but it worth playing! I will put here the WAD with maps that i Converted. There are the following conversion Bugs: 1-E1M8 after you kill the bosses the wall simply dont move down to complete the episode 2-The Iron Lichs are converted to Wyverns, and unexplainably the just dont attack us 3-There are some areas that are too small (just 3 or 4) i recommend to use the Crouch option in Zdoom. All that bugs are Really easy to fix using the map editor, but i am not a expert mapper to fix them, it will need more exploration :D So If Anyone wants to i put here i tutorial with how i did it, just ask, because its not easy! Ok I know that everyone want this screenshot :D And here is The Wad: LINK REMOVED - PROHIBITED CONTEND, sorry :C But if anyone still wants to know how to convert, just ask! Unfortunatly some "scripts" from doom dont work in hexen like Switches that open doors just dont work! thats sad, and i got to convert one map a time! well i think i'll have to stay with heretic and dm2conv, lookslike conversion between doom and hexen is a bit... incompatible :C

Yeah i did it! with Dmapconv that our friend pointed to us i went Searching where i could convert, then i Did it!, i must tell you that it IS tricky. 1.Its a DOS program so, windows xp users forget, i went using dosbox here i will tell small part of the process: first we got to setup the program with the paths and al... then we got to load a map from a Pwad, in the program there is a button called change Map Position, and there is a option to chenge the position to a hexen wad, then we have to compile a scriipt but it is sending out much errors, so i barely could convert some maps. i did only with e1m1 and e1m2 from UDoom, and the result is something like Dm2Conv converter does.. If someone eant screenshots just ask! :) and when i discover how to compile this succefully, i will post! Thank all your help guys!

Well i thought my post has become some large discussion heh? well if Enjay Remenber the name of the tool it would be great to all of us to do that, i already googled it thousand times and dont find any Converterrr! hope we find someone that knows, soon :D
