Saw it last night. Didn't care for it much. It felt like it was trying to remake the first Jurassic Park rather than be a sequel with all of the homages and tributes and reenactments that were not needed. Nothing nostalgic about it. The CGI was worse than JP3. The humor was out of place. None of the characters caught my interest. The new hybrid dinosaur was silly (why not just use a Giganotosaurus?). The raptors being used as hunting dogs was stupid. The kids were so friggin annoying and didn't really add much to the story. The music was pretty generic outside of the rehashed classic themes (which is sad to say as Giacchino is one of my favorite modern composers). Bringing back Wu was pointless and, instead, should have brought back any of the main characters (spared no expense, my ass). The human villain was extremely cartoony. Blah. I can go on, but I'll leave it at that. I did like that they brought back the T. Rex from the first movie, though. The last 10 minutes was quite the wild ride. Chances are, I will own this on DVD, but it is the weakest of the franchise, in my opinion. The first 2 are the best, hands down.

I've always assumed they are just human skulls, but game mechanics makes them bigger (easier to see sprites, easier to hit, etc). Also, just because they look bigger than human skulls in game doesn't mean that they really are. Look at the Revenant. He's about twice the height of the player according to the sprites but his actual hitbox is only that of the player. x)

Looking good. I side with the others about walking in the void, it's very awkward. Also don't care for the item pick up sounds. Otherwise, good work, looking to the finished result!

"Kicking ass and taking names" is an older saying from the 60's or 50's. The "taking names" part possibly relating to dog tags, you'll kick their ass so bad that you'll be taking their dog tag. A lot of speculation behind it, but all you need to know it's a popular phrase.

Yeah, I don't ever recall doing that :( most of my VHS tapes are either recorded from TV or were random gifts which has given me duplicates because no one else knew their monster movies. Now I spend most of my time and money trying to find DVDs of them, heh.

I quite enjoy MST3k and Rifftrax. They helped me get into the giant monster genre of movies that I am so fond of today. Joel had his moments, but I think overall Mike is better.

I've noticed that even the IWADs would have crap like that. E1M1 has armor bonuses before a green armor. Then in E1M5 you see armor bonuses with a blue armor... you're not even benefited by the bonuses lol

GZDoom and Zandronum I use freelook (and no autoaim), but with ZDoom I don't have it, though I still use keyboard and mouse.

How about Daggerfall skeleton sounds? ;)

Those are some... odd sounds for a Revenant. Have you tried the PSX sounds for it?

I sure hope I'm getting my cut out of this, Snakes.

This actually looks a lot better than a good handful of the previous versions. The carry strap on the Shotty is a nice touch and the way the Baron picked up that barrel and threw it at the player is neat. Also, lol @ kicking a zombieman over the edged to his death.

I always used the central structure as well... well, shoot. o.o

What if Doom was one of us?

Something Doom related is currently one of my choices for a tattoo that I may or may not get in the future. Godzilla most likely will be my first tat, but Doom or Quake may be a second.

I like it. Heh, I'm actually writing music for it. All the MP3 songs are the ones I've made. I really gotta get back into finishing up Episode 2 and waiting for more from Episode 3.

Start something, procrastinate, lollygag, look at it, procrastinate, play test what I started, procrastinate, lollygag, eventually forget about it.

The moment I heard he was hospitalized, I just knew it was going to happen. Very sad news. RIP

A couple pennies richer, thanks! I'm always open to criticism. For music on the project with Jimmy, we may end up making something for a map or two, but nothing is currently planned to my knowledge. Eris, thanks for the feedback and birthday wishes. :) I still have the original (rather large) MIDI file for that song you mentioned: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/62445669/Go%23It/Go%23It_01.mid -
Looking back on your younger, stupider self.

Back then, I was young and stupid and full of potential. Now, I'm a little older, still stupid, and have a lot less potential. Meh. -

No, no, it needs work, you're right. lol I try too hard to keep it as close to classic Doom music as I can and end up going overboard with it. I've been trying to expand my style a bit. Even I look back at some of my stuff and shudder. I consider any other musician on here much more skilled than I am. -
Which comic book hero do you want defending your city?

Godzilla. Cleveland could use a rebuilding. -
I'm also working on something. Will show off when I get more done.
