  1. To me it looks like an old IMB PS2 101 key model keyboard with a glowing logo on it. If I had my digital camera I could take a picture here at work. These things are like 10 + years old and built like tanks. Still work perfectly.

  2. Timmie, your version is great, even at its current stage. Just playing it is to see it has come a long way. Even though the older versions of ZDoomGL were messy and unstable, I have to give Kokak some credit, after all, I could not do anything close to that. I also remeber back when I used to play DoomGL and the anticipation of ZDoomGL. I have to say, even now its still the same awaiting the next public betas of the current ZDoomGL. Thanks to Kokak, Timmie, and everyone responsible (a very long list), for keeping interest in Doom after 10 years.

--End of rambling / gushing / remembering --

  3. You know I actually tried to run it using the old ZDoomGL, just to see how far it would load since it was based on ZDoom1.22 I wasn't expecting much. It crashed my computer. I figured as much since it needed the latest ZDoom beta. But for some reason, I remember running a demo of it a while ago, (possibly long while), I remember the garbage area distinctly but never was able to get out of there. Anyway, enough of my rambling I seem to have wandered from the subject.

  4. I know I am setting my self up for this. I have to ask because I honestly don't know. What is a shader and its function? I will try to take a wild guess, and say that it adds to textures to make them look more realistic by either shadows or reflections? Am I way wrong?

Ok fixed spelling error-- was bugging me.

  5. I can't but help to have a soft spot for the models though. I have been playing with them since they were supported in DoomGL. I also like that there actually was a TC made. Also has anyone tried the Aliens TC with 0.74? I have to look though all my old cds and see if I have it.

  6. It will load Duke3D maps? Wow, it seems to be moving along quite well. As for Duke3D, i know its off topic here, but I think its cool, and seems to be moving faster than another project I was looking into at the moment. (I think it was GLDuke.) Only reason that suprised me, is because Duke is my second favorite, right after Doom. Anyway, trying to recall from memory, Zdoom also supports heretic/hexen as well right? Anyway lately started keeping an eye on things again, and am excited to see things still going well. And one of these years, I hope to get a bigger better faster computer. Still on AMD K62 400mhz with a PCI GeFroce2 mx 200. Well back to work for me, see you all later.

  7. Hey all. Its been quite awhile since I was last in these forums. Timmie, latest screenshots are great. I have a small question. The next release of ZDoomGL, will it use ZDoom 1.23 as its base? Also I downloaded the latest beta recently, am I to understand that it uses some of Ken Silverman's Build engine? And since I have dissappeared off of the map for so long, I know these questions may seem stupid. Its great to see so many of the old faces here andsome new. Well I'm off to work, (need to keep working my way for a new pc, heh), so see you all later.

  8. Remember when I was posting (in the old forum) a while back about some Direct 3D games running awfully slow on geforce cards? I feel like an idiot. Anyway for those who don't already know, (I found this answer at PlanetShogo.com), they have a registry key available for download that works with the latest detonator drivers and allows you change a couple settings that will give a speed boost to most all games that rely on Direct3D drivers. Anyway i know this is a bit off topic, but for those of us that love a spped boost witout having to upgrade, this might just help. Anyway enough rambling check it out.

  9. Ok, once I had seen new MD2 models for ZDoomGL. These consisted of splatters for the seargent, the marine, and the other litle guy. The package also included MD2's for the spheres (blur, soul, invulnerability, and mega). Does anyone know where they can be located? I had them up until a crash a couple days ago.
