The Icon of Sin was a great idea in Doom 2 because of the scale, it's execution however was very limited... If they do that, I hope they bring in the Unmaker as well! I think the mother demon was a threat that even makes the cyberdemons quake in fear. As for the OP. It's only coincidence they bother using any material from Midway's iteration of the game. Bethesda made it clear sadly, that anything you find is just easter egg stuff and they want to be 100% that this is their original take on it having nothing to do with any of the games before D16 story wise.

I'm sure it will be a fun game as the last one was. I'm kinda happy they're bringing the old plasma gun design back than that shrimpy looking glorified SMG they've passed off as a directed energy weapon. I don't know what to expect honestly, it's starting to look and play like that Metroid fps that game out in the early 2000's. Not that it's a bad thing, I enjoyed those! -

By the powers infested in me, I f*ckin await more of Nihility! Glad to hear you are back and working on it. Will you keep up with the Alpha/Beta Motif you got going from E2 though? How it all comes together seems to hit the nostalgic moments I had growing up with these gritty and spooky fps's. In a way this reminds me of how I used to play Quake and forgot the CD contained music back in the day. (Not to mention barely knowing much about computers, I had to find out how to get the music to play, and silly me, there was a cable that piped music from the CD that plugged into the mobo, I always thought the IDE ribbon cable did it alone but nope.) -

The gimmick in this wad is shooting switches that use the Evil Eye sprite for their markers. This is a mechanic I don't see a lot of wads use at all. Not that it's a bad thing but it looks like Romero took that idea and ran with it. -

I only just started playing this wad yesterday. There's something about using sound effects to portray atmosphere instead of music with the use of lighting and mood. Gives me the creeps at times but..I love it! I hope to see this become that full 36 level megawad one day. Using the alpha/beta resources coupled with dehacked is icing on that cake giving me that feeling of "this is what Doom could've been" in some other timeline. Please sir, I want some more. -

Will V3 have some sort of down sampling applied? It looks a little clear to pass off as a Doom64 sprite. You got the 3D technique in the bag but remember, this has got to at least fit on an N64 cart! (Just kidding about the cart, but it doesn't look as blurred as the base sprites.) -
