  1. A small mod by ijon tichy and me, a universal mutator that should work with any mapsets/weaponsets/gameplay mods. Probably works with different iwads, too. Updates Doom into the way it was meant to be played, as canonically confirmed by the official developers.   3. There's been a drifter that's been makin' the rounds. He seems a simple enough fellow. Quiet. Polite. But I saw a peek of him, with a burnt cloak that hid a rock of a man, and a hat shadowing his face. I could see his eyes underneath, and they spooked me--shining with a light that wasn't of this world. He tipped his hat at me and wished me good day, but in that moment I felt like I'd glimpsed at eternity. I'd asked around town, and the folk had some tall tales to say about him. Some say that he's a demon, rebelling from his life in Hell and fighting against his former masters. Others say that he's a vampire, living forever off the blood of those he slays. Others say that he's a priest, doin' God's work on these forsaken lands. And yet others say that he's just a luckier and tougher son of a bitch than the rest. But whoever he is, they all say he's not so much driftin' through towns as he is...worlds. Goin' from one reality to the next, leavin' only hot casings and cold bodies. He won't be here long. He never is. Guess I can't blame him, not really any place on Earth that could fit a man like him. He only stays long enough to head to a bar, talk to some folks, get some food, and grab a bottle of Corzo white for the road. But such is the life of a drifter. Who knows where he'll head next? The weapons and overall tone is relatively low-tech, complimenting more natural-style mapsets for roaming around castles, ruins, and other assorted gothic setpieces. You make use of some ordinary guns that any joe could scrounge up, a handful of antiquated pieces, and a couple dark artifacts in a quest to dispense frontier justice to an ethereal threat. If you've been craving a "Weird West" sort of weaponset, or even more of an adventurer-type rather than a soldier using military tech, hopefully this'll be up your alley. High Noon Drifter is also a simple and gimmick-less weaponset, probably the most straightforward mod I've made yet--you pick up the guns, hit the fire button, they go bang and kill the demons. A lot of gameplay mods nowadays come with a sort of a big crazy gimmick or a whole bunch of over-the-top weapons with lots of intricate functions. And that ain't a bad thing! But with this, I wanted to re-study the basics of what makes a gun fun to use, sticking with just the basic weapon types and then making them N E A T. This also provided me with an opportunity to familiarize myself with the intricacies of ZScript and Anonymous Functions before using them on a certain bigger project, because Lord knows both of those provide a lot of fun and laughs. FEATURES: - Works in Doom, Doom 2, TNT: Evilution, Plutonia, Heretic, and Hexen!   6. We've all done it. Seen a player hanging next to a precarious precipice. One single shot of your gun...and down he goes to his death. There's just something so primal, so simple, so fun about that. Push is a Last Man Standing gameplay modification I shat out in an hour replicating exactly that. In Push, your goal is simple: Knock enemies off onto instant-death floors, and stay on the arena as long as possible. Gameplay emphasizes skill and quick reflexes above all else. Get accurate and knock enemies off into pits. Figure out how to survive being thrown into the abyss. Think fast and act faster, and you just might be the last one standing. You're given absolute minimal equipment so you can focus on strategy. Laser guns that do no damage but have extremely high knockback, Primary fire shoots a laser that doesn't do a lot of push, but is very accurate and very, very fast. Secondary fire lobs an energy grenade that has short range and arcs downward, but has massive amounts of knockback and can rocketjump like nothing else. Gauntlets that can send people careening off into the distance with a single (lucky) blow. And a double-jump to help with recovery. It's all so simple. So, so simple.     Ehhh. There's not really a texture pack used to release in the first place. 85% of the textures used are just variants of solid colors, with lots of really small linedefs.

    Since you'd decided to drag this publicly out on Doomworld, I was hoping that maybe you would have learned your lesson when hearing it from other people and would finally get over yourself. But it turns out, no, you're still intent on pursuing this grudge. This six-year-old, one-sided grudge. You still send me completely random messages, PMs, and comments whining about this. You've been doing this for six years. This is, like, textbook harassment, but I've been letting it slide because A: I didn't really give a shit and B: I was hoping you'd eventually realize that "he said mean things about my Doom mod that I admitted had issues anyway" is probably the weakest basis for a vendetta. The funny thing is, you've turned into an amazing and capable artist in that time. The screenshots you've posted? Absolutely beautiful. The 3D renders you've made are staggering, they look accurate to the source material while still being higher resolution. I mean it sincerely when I say I think you've become one of the best 3D modellers in the Doom scene--in terms of visual design, you've become absolutely top notch. Unfortunately, your gameplay design abilities are pretty fucking awful. The stuff you make is pretty, but certainly not fun to play. Never has been. And if you would take the criticism you've gotten into account, you could actually make something really breathtaking. But you're more interested in trying to go "lmao gottem" SIX YEARS after the fact, long after either Samsara or Classic Rivalry have been relevant. You could have done so much in that time, in between your multiple ban evasions on ZDoom. If you want to try and show me up, fucking make something and make it good. Don't waste your time, my time, and other people's time with this squabble that only matters to you.

  21. I made a silly video. Someone asked me to put up a download for this. This one's for you, YouTube comment guy. Removes all (default) monsters and items, silences several sounds, makes the player immune to damage, gives them a Super Shotgun that does nothing but unload and reload. Primary fire opens and closes the gun. Secondary fire opens and reloads the gun. Play without music, put on your soft ambient soundtrack of choice, have fun. Works in Zandronum, too, though I don't know why you'd want a multiplayer ASMR session. Nope, Zandronum doesn't support RGF_NOSIGHT. Frames from Perkristian. Shell casings from uhhhhhhhh I think an old version of Beautiful Doom?     So I've been fighting with the aiming stream for a while, trying to figure out how to make it cleaner and less of a dribbling piss-trail. gaydad420 figures it out and sends me the code. It works wonderfully. Thanks, mate! This hasn't been tested online, but I've been playing with this for like three days straight and it's wonderful. Boy, I sure hope it doesn't explode!
