    It was a long time since I was here.


    Has been absent because I quit my job. started studying. started to work again and been involved in a major car accident and I have moved and a lot of crap so blah broken up with the girl and a hard disk crash, and so on.

    Sometimes I long back to the days when I mapped for Doom in Hexen format.
    Unfortunately, I have had trouble getting started GZDoom the computer when it just stops responding. But now I'm back to try to give it a try and get out my old Doom project.

    Btw Does anyone have some tips on very nice Wad's / Mega Wad's that are as plutunia, Alien Ven Detta WOS, and so on? The best of the best that the inner mass is not Doom 2 monsters or weapons, etc..

      Sometimes life happens like a side of a mountain suddenly giving way sending gravel and bolders and debris crashing down on the road below just as your car is driving that particular section.

      Speed of Doom comes to mind as well as Scythe X and the rest of the Scythe series. I think another semi-recent quality release is called Sunder.

    Moving waste barrels?

    Hello. In some Wad's i have seen moving barrels and monsters that moves from A to B and then 'warp' to A and restart. I have a ideƩ and if i can get help how to make this i can maybe do something cool i hope? I have tried some different ways to do it on but nothing happens. i have tried to make moving floors that carry and so on and teleport to warp it back to A but i don't get i to work. maybe i have overdone it?     Hello. I have a Problem whit scripts that i don't solve..     Thanks. But i still got the same problem. The script complies whiteout errors. i can't figure out what is wrong. most be something in my WAD that gives errors. :(

    ohh it is that easy? i just set 1000 . ohh i forget Doom in ZDoom EDIT: I tried some other tags/ script numbers but i get same error. it just change the numbers.

    round sector creating

    Very easy to make a curved wall. Just make a line and then press the bouttom and set the parameters and then you are done. http://pici.se/pictures/eVpBhIOHf.jpg
  18. Just some randome shit :P I am not so good at mapping but i try. The white in the center is not gonna be there. A small waterfall and the water splash also. Not done in this sector. EDIT: i have a shit load of 'Dummy sectors' just for the water :P hehe and i haven't working on the light yet.

    I just downloaded this and i think this is one of the best Megawads there is too Doom. I really like the levels and the music and also the layout of the levels and details. IF Doom 2 was this i.. don't have the words but it think this i several times better that plutonia and many other. But i love plutonia but it gets a bit bring around map 20 or so. My Mapping sucks to this :D hehe

  22. Hello! I was getting inspired today to improve my mapping and do some cool sectors (i hope, hehe). But i have a problem. How do i make a big curved staircase? EG. From eg 0 to 90 Degree(what is the right word? not the temperature but the angle?) i think would be perfect. I think i have seen a tutorial for making stairs very fast and in curved shape. but i cant find it now :( //Martin

    Make big curved staircase?

    I am using DB2. i know how to make a linedef curved. but the 'math' that you need to do to make where the linedef and the length of the 2 linedef can take a very long time. Gotta se if i can use Boris beta version! it is very cool! EDIT: it dose not support my DB2 version :(

    let there be light!

    I have not played so many wad's but in some i think it is way to dark. and yes i am using a old CTR but i have some tft's but i like my ctr best so i use it ;) The thing i think is most that people don't use different brightness enough and just draw a 'bright' line where the light go from eg 192 to like 100. also the lack of ' where the light' is coming from. like big room can be very bright whit like zero light sources.
