    Doom Sheet Music

    What about this one? https://musescore.com/fantasysheets/kitchen-ace-e1m4

Things about Doom you just found out

Shotgunners, however, go full-bright when they attack on Doom v1.25 (special version for Sybex):

I think Doom should have taken a more Quake direction

Nothing beats Knee-Deep In the Dead techbase art style, in my humble opinion.

    The "stupid mod idea" thread

What about a PC Internal Speaker mod for playing proper sound effects (porting "DS" sounds to "DP" sounds) or even music with Vanilla Doom? I never had the time to check the reverse-engineered code, so.. Yeah, this one might be a very stupid idea indeed, if it's not feasible!

What nicknames do you have for monsters?

I gave the nickname "minotaur" to the baron of hell. The next ones are not real nicknames, but I was always referring to the rocket launcher as "bazooka" and to the BFG as "disintegrator". My father even thought it was a "disintegrator" shot that killed the marine at the end of E1M8 (this after playing Doom 2; we only had Doom Shareware v1.2 and Doom 2 v1.666 back then).

    Classic, WASD+mouse, or other?

WASD + Mouse since 2004. Doom 3 was the last game I completed with keyboard only. Also, NOVERT when playing vanilla wads on DosBox.

Play No rest for the Living in DOS (or DOSBox)!

Sorry about gravedigging this old post again but... Do you know where is it possible to download nr4tl.exe again? Thanks in advance, really nice stuff.

Real Talk: Do people use difficulty settings?

Awesome indeed! I used to be a keyboard-only player as well, but then I switched to K+M in 2004 or so, when I started to play online on ZDaemon. I am perfectly fine with that even when I play vanilla wads on DOSBox thanks to Novert. Doom 3 was the last game I completed with keyboard only.

Real Talk: Do people use difficulty settings?

Default UV (99.999% of the times), rarely played on NMR for IWADs (E4 is a no-no!) or extremely easy map sets. I've only played on UV-fast once, I guess. Today I've completed Chex Quest episode 1 on "Super Slimey!" and I found it extremely easy.
  10. Yeah dude, it's me, belandino :) I have read about your source port and that's very interesting indeed. I am thinking about setting up my old Pentium II laptop again. I was keeping it online 24/7 back in the day, gotta see what I can do.
  11. DosBox all the way! Even if I am not in the US, I guess there won't be any problem. I used to play Doom v0.99 on DosBox with some friends from the US, back in 2009, and I had no issues at all.

The Official 'Trying to Find a Specific WAD' Thread

It was this one: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ydr4ubjrtu1yr09/tnt2demo.zip I got betrayed by my own memory, I am really getting too old! Thanks anyway, though!
