Happy Time Circus Part II is terrifying, as well as the map Darkseed from NDCP2. (MAP19, I think?) -
I really, really want to properly enjoy Blood (I got the CDs last year at a Goodwill) without low-res memory-hogging DOSBox anguish. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE DOSBox, but not for Quake-era FPS games. Make us proud, Stroggos.

Of course. I wasn't going to play without the new monsters. Eventually I was able to get past the first epic fight, from there it gets fairly nonlinear. The conveyor belt room with the green imps and barrels is insane! I think I'll give it another go later today. -
I see ads for the CoDMW2: "Stimulus Package" on the front page of Doomworld. Just sad.

I swear that is one of the greatest DOOM levels I have ever played. Pure atmosphere, and then, once you get to the center, nonstop intensity. I mean, just looking at the layout of the map - this is something that obviously took a lot of planning before you even touched the editor. This is one of those maps I can play, die, play, die, play, die, and keep trying for hours. :D GREAT WORK! -
lol we should do Deathmatch speedruns in online multiplayer. that would be so totally awesome.

I think of everything under the id Tech 1 umbrella as DOOM. DOOM, DOOM II, and Final DOOM are all the same game to me and Heretic / Hexen / Strife are DOOM in different clothing. And, of course, whatever title id gives DOOM 4 we can all prepare to be disappointed by it. I mean, think of the startling innovations DOOM3 added to the series... such as FOUR-PLAYER DEATHMATCH. IN 2004. No, FPS games these days seem to be going the way of Valve by providing 10-20 hours of extremely linear, disposable thrills with nowhere the wealth of content provided by DOOM way back in the day. Despite the replay value offered by Half-Life 2, riding the same roller-coaster over and over gets old eventually. Single-player Source engine mods? Phah.

I've almost entirely lost interest in the modern PC gaming scene. Commercial, that is. Besides, you have DOOM. Not much else you need. Certainly nothing by Ubisoft.

Nope, my admin doesn't have enough interest in DOOM that he'd bother browsing fanfics. I'm fairly sure that was right off the top of his head. It's so beautiful - I love how he blurred out the muscles in the arms and belly to make him look more feminine. TOO HOT~

The buttons in the three-floor elevator on MAP02 need some work. They look quite ghetto (too lazy to elaborate or post screencap right now). Also, the starting area on MAP04 is just sad. If you're gonna stick us in a teeny little elevator shaft, at least get the texture alignment right. But so far, what I've played is absolutely great. I love the continuity between levels, too. -
That seriously has potential. If anything, it's one of the nicer parking lots I've seen in the DOOM engine.

Playing Eternal DOOM IV has gotten me interested in hub levels. Are there any other good .WADs that feature starting hubs and/or level inter-connectivity such as EDIV? I think it would be awesome if a megawad had a huge starting area that had portals to the different levels... with more unlocking as you went. Kind of like the castle in Super Mario 64 :P

There's no need to be a smartass, as I'm sure I and everyone else are fully aware of its advantages. I use freelook all the time outside of classic/vanilla maps. So, I'll restate the question. What possible situation could we be in that would require us to look DIRECTLY up or DIRECTLY down, as those are the only two blind spots in Software?
