A couple of people have messaged me about this forum's apparently limit to only show threads from the last month. This isn't forum specific but rather an option in your user settings. Here's how to fix it! Go to the Edit Options section of your User Control Panel. Near the bottom is an option labelled "Default Thread View". Set this to "View All Threads". Serious Sam is kinda specifically designed for it. Also, SS has: a) much lower fidelity game worlds (and a clever engine to handle LODs at distance) b) REALLY basic AI (run toward player, shoot, repeat) which makes it a lot easier to have lots of them spawned at once. Same with Painkiller, the AI for those enemies is reaaaallly basic.

Photo Mode is fucking awesome in every game that has it and more games should have it. You can do cool things like these (from Mad Max) being able to stop the action and change the camera angle means you can create some cool stuff. Any extra effects like DoF or aperture settings are icing on the cake.

I didn't know that a tectical kevlar vest which looks like SWAT team gear counted as futuristic space marine armour these days. Aside from that, they knew it was dumb and it was cancelled. Any concerns you might have or had about it literally don't matter. They knew it was bad and it was canned.

What more could you possibly want it to do? It's literally a "Kill everything in this room" button. The changes in the trailers/videos were probably for dramatic effect.

This is hilarious. I mean it's clearly a co-incidence, but it's funny nonetheless. Also anyone who refuses to admit the slight similarity is a big baby who can't see the funny side of anything.

Rule one of game marketing: Trust nothing. The material is designed to sell you the game, not necessarily exactly spell out the arrangement of things in the game. Same with movie trailers. Trailers are cut specifically to get the idea across, and they generally sequence-break to fuck in order to make a good impression.

This was always the case, they just made the pickup models more distinct. In the old videos, the MP-style yellow ammo boxes had different symbols on them, shells and bullets etc.

They didn't change the movement speed. As far as I can see all they did was change it from always walk with a sprint button, to always run with a walk button. In that gameplay trailer, during several of the fights the guy moves at the proper speed. Then he goes back to walking around like a tourist to show off the visuals or whatever. Also, a higher FOV will give an illusion of faster movement even when the player is going the same speed, because the edges of the player view will move faster as they slip off the wider angle of view. Might be a contributing factor.

You can still get pretty well wrecked in Berserk mode if you're not careful. I nearly got my ass handed to me when I got too cocky and dived into a group and tried to mow through them. It's pretty easy to regain health while in berserk though since you're always right up in the area the pickups will drop.

The Pinkies in snapmap are unarmoured by default. There's no way to get the armoured version as far as I know. The normal Mancubus and the Cyber-Mancubus are seperate creatures, though.

But a Switch aint one?
