I do have the complete longbox design of PSX Doom - perhaps I can look into scanning the manual later, if I can find a way to connect our old scanner to my desktop.

Hopefully sometime this year it'll see an eventual release.

I really enjoyed Bloodstain, I played it on HNTR however, so it was a lighter experience on my end. There were still moments that were a little frustrating in later sections however (I'm thinking specifically of MAP27, and probably other parts of episode 3) and I'm not sure how much of it would have been any different on UV. Definitely has a good share of nice visuals and really fun map layouts, I agree it deserves more mentions in these parts. However I would encourage playing it on a lower difficulty before tackling one of the higher settings.

Not something I'm currently reading, but a good and honest book I read last year: Every Man A Hero by Ray Lambert. The man talks about his time and service during World War II, and the years leading up to it. A fascinating time capsule and a good read.

This was a nice surprise last year - very well-written, too.

Endless pretty much covered how I feel about DOOM Retro - all the modern features in an old-school Dooming experience. I love the crunchy pixel work and the contrast of the brightmaps and other cool options available for it. The launcher is also nice and easy to use, which is something I missed from using Doom95 for the longest time back then. I'm happy there are plenty of great options for playing Doom out there though.

Hey Brad, just a few things I want to bring up: is there a way for the lost soul limit to be applied to the Pain Elemental? In more than a few occasions it's proven to be pretty overwhelming in at least a few wads I've played where the screen can get filled pretty quickly even with a few elementals on the loose. Also, when taking screenshots, that flash effect can disrupt taking multiple shots at once. I personally don't find it that necessary since it can be a bit of an eyesore - especially if it's used in the middle of combat. Last but not least, thankfully that keyboard problem I was having with strafing left and right seems to have disappeared, so I'm glad that was somehow fixed. I'm still holding out hope for a frame interpolation option for that smooth 35 FPS if it's not too much!

I can imagine hearing Atari/NES sound effects looking at these screenshots.

Watched Lawrence of Arabia last night - it's been many years since I'd last seen it. Love the cinematography and the visual storytelling. Did this after watching a couple of older David Lean films for the first time last month "Great Expectations" (1946) and "Oliver Twist" (1948).

Color me interested - I might see about coming up with something for this. Gonna shoot for that undying love & gratitude - I can't lose.
