  1. Ok - I will create OST for Hexen
  2. If you encounter any problems or want same for Doom2/Hexen/Strife - please tell me. Also you can create such packs manually with dosbox and any sound recording software like goldwave or soundforge. Sorry for late answer - my subscription to this thread has been deleted somehow.
  3. Nice to hear, that 1.9.7 released, so Curse is now playable in Doomsday (I tested on map8 and it works).   4. I deleted section 1. There are 2 reasons for this: 1) I tested Scourge of Viscerus with noclip on some maps, and figured out that this is pretty awesome wad! The reasons are under spoiler (please do not read spoiler, if you still not finished this wad and plan to finish it in future): 2) I figured out, how to import hires textures from JHexen to GZDoom. Now I'm trying to figure out how to import models, particles and lights. So I decided to remove "only Doomsday" condition.
  5. Dear forum members! Could you please recommend wads for Hexen, which meet next conditions: 1) Should look like the original or deathkings: - it should have puzzles, also hard puzzles - weapons (at least some of them) should be in hidden places, so it is not easy to find them - should be impossible to assemble weapon 4 without discovering and finishing secret map 2) Should be hard, but not very much (both - monsters and puzzles). In other words - for example, you want to finish original Hexen or Deathkings, but the problem is next: you already know everything about these levels, so it will not be interesting to finish them again (especially this is actual, if you finished original and addon several times). What wad for Hexen you will choose in this case, if you want to receive approximately same impressions as you received during first finishing of the original Hexen and desthkings? The only wad (which I think will meet this criterias) I know for today - is "Hexen : Curse of the demon lord" by kristus, but it's under construction, so not an option. Thank you in advance.

  13. But I think, that MUS_E2M4 is totally raped when played in sycraft\windows midi mode. So many people, so many opinions BTW: what do you think about E1M1, E1M9 and TITL ?
  14. Is this level possible by Fighter? And I think it will be easier for Mage, than the others, because Mage's wand can hit several enemies by single hit (and Slaughtaurs cannot repulse Mage's shots). But anyway GL - nice level - never seen much of enemies in Hexen before. Maybe we will see the same for Strife in the future... P.S. Now I understand, why my ideas (except secret levels) are incorrect:)
  15. In this topic I exactly want to do what I explained at the start post. Now I started learn Decorate and understand that this is possible in GZDoom (soon I will create my own Heretic mod), but the problem is that current stable version of Doomsday doesn't support what I want (DED in 1.8.6 has not the same "possibilities" as Decorate). So at first I will create my mod in Decorate for GZDoom, and when Doomsday will become support something like Decorate - I will create same mod for Doomsday. P.S. My mod is not only about questions in this topic - but it will be much more pretty with those things
  16. 1) When I fire by phoenix rod - I moving back. Can I turn it off (like Rocket Launcher behavior in Doom) and what Source Ports can help me to do this? Is it possible on Doomsday\GZDoom ? 2) Same, but about powered mace balls: they movement totally depends on my movement. А) If I stay and firing from mace - all balls (I mean first flying after shoot) will fly the same. B) If I move back while firing - balls will fly back at first, If I move forward - they will run forward with "turbo speed". Can it be changed to way like "every ball will fly like in A) even if I moving while firing"? Is it possible on Doomsday\GZDoom ? Thanks to all

  19. What is the easiest way to create a new Heretic monsters (or modify existing) with player's weapons in Doomsday? For example make Gargoyles to attack by player's wand, or maulotaur's attack by player's phoenix rod Is it possible by PWAD only? Does anybody did this before? I know, that it is possible to add Hexen Weapons to Doom (in any port) using only PWAD, but what about monsters? Thanks to all
  20. Can you explain shortly (or give an example) - how to change behavior of any weapon using DED and what "*.ded" files should I modify for this (objects.ded, values.ded etc)?
  21. In the original Heretic there is a 75% chance of Firemace appearing in one levels, and 100% in another levels. Some levels have several spots for Firemace, so it spawn ramdomly. 1) You used 75%, 100% or both versions of Firemace spawns on curse.wad? 2) Do you used several Firemace spots in different rooms in some maps?

  23. Will you plan performance improvements to 2.0 release (in comparison to 1.8.6)? I played 1.8.6 on athlon 1133, 256 ram, geforce 2 gts 32 MB - and no performance issues received (except if turn on particles in jHexen). So I think Doomsday has not very high system requirements. BUT - I received one issue in Curse of D'sparil (see below). I should say, that my current PC is not a slow one: AMD Phenom 2 940 3000 MHz 4 GB RAM Geforce GTX 285 1 GB RAM (Forceware 196.21, vsync on, all settings set to high quality) 4x1TB HDD + 1x1.5TB HDD (they are not a slow like 40GB ones of 2001) Windows XP, Dirextx 9.0c Most of Curse of D'sparil levels work fine (in performance meaning), but in E3M6 (in start position) I received very slow performance (approximately 5 fps). How to fix this without quality distorion? My config is default, but objects, particles, 3d models, lights and halos = on And I use "-maxzone 512m" command line parameter
