So last night, around 4AM, I decided to start messing around with the Windows 10 Game recording function. With this digital weapon, I could finally have the freedom to record my play, complete with all the deaths which come from being as skill-challenged as I. So I picked one of my own maps, Pumping Station Hoedown, which is E1M6 of Shotgun Symphony, as the field of battle to die on. And since it was meant to be a relaxed savscumming session, I decided to grab all the secrets.
But then a funny thing happened. I kept not dying. What a strange experience. I got the crap beat out of me in this very map a few days ago on a zero-secret run. I always die on full secret runs, too. But as time went on, I started to feel it, I started to believe that . . .
He. Could. Go. All. The. Way!!!!
And I did. I even survived 2 GADs, although the second one almost finished me.
So I decided to go live on my YouTube channel with this video. If anyone watches it, keep an eye out for the 2 Barons guarding a Soulsphere in the ginormous pump room. It took over 30 shotgun rounds to kill them and that seems a mite grindy to me. I'm thinking I could replace them with 6 or maybe 9 Imps, or I could provide at least 1 rocket box near the RL to at least wound them a bit.
Anyway, without further ado . . .
