what about the weapons and fuel ammo?

How do people secret hunt in wads?
-
@TheAgaures I'm looking for something like this as a modder resource in making a doom map. I would like to have acess to the new weapons and the monsters, without over righting any existing weapons or monsters... is that possible, and if so may I use the resources in this wad? Basically, you mention doom builder... so how exactly do I go about using the new weapons and monsters in my map... and do players need to add your mod into the load order? Thanks!

I was hoping just for monsters and weapons .. nothing else... as a modder resource... but I will defiantly look at that... thank you. -
People, especially older people like me, like to shit on Cloud Storage... but the truth is it is awesome, for just this reason. I recommend an application called rClone. It runs on linux and Widows, I am not sure about apple as I do not own one. Basically it is a way to manage cloud storage. You can log into many different storage sites all through the app, run encryption on the files if you wish. Set up local directories that upload on a schedule (basically a timed backup) or make the directories mirrors. You can also make the directories load off the net, as in there is no local file at all. You just see the online drive as a dir on your local. The really cool thing though is storage spanning, as in you can say sight up to 15 free Google Drives, add you drop box, put in a few mega drives or w/e.. and rclone will teat all that storage as a single drive and automatically span data across them. There is even an option to "split files" but I have it set to only have entire files on a given drive. It is a seriously awesome app, and one I recommend to anyone that is working on data they hope to never loose.

Are there any existing MODs that add the new monsters and weapons from Legacy of Rust to Doom2? So nothing is replaced. For example, you still have a plasma gun and power cell ammo and stuff. gzDoom is fine, even if it is the only target port. -
well, I saw break down of the trailer and it was saying that some of the things "classic" players wanted looked to be in it.. like there dose not seem to be a jump or at least no dash. So all those eternal movement things that many older players disliked is removed.

yeah but you need someone to play it and be able to beat or know they could beat it.. so you can balance it and stuff. Place needed ammo, health etc etc.... That is the issue I think. -
https://github.com/mmaulwurff/gearbox only works in gzdoom as far as I know.

I think "modern" boomer-shooters like Prodeus or Bolt Gun are more my stye.

classic only. I tried the modern dooms. The 1st one was ok, but I hated the 2nd one. All that platforming and air dashing and weapon swapping... belch. I'd actually like a modern doom, but done more like doom. Remove all the air dash and platforming and using chains to pull you across the room... get rid of, or at least tone down the "arena" stuff from eternal and make it again about exploring maps... just scale it all back and I think it would be cool.

World of DOOM - "Scholomance" [WIP] [UDMF] [GZdoom] [OTEX]

I think this is a cool idea... and there is no shortage of dungeons and raids in wow to make a full project out of. Also there are many model rippers for wow that allow you to rip of the monsters and props and all the 3D data, even the actual level data.. so you could probably use that to put all that to use. Though maybe Hexen would be a better base than doom? -

Maybe I am just over complicating things. Like many of you said I will just focus on making a map I like to play and see where it goes from there. Yeah.. I am defiantly already going for a more exploration based level. My main goal with the map is to make a coherent "location", not just a bunch of hallways. My hope is to be able to make the map able to be traversed through more than one path and set of choices. I've taken a lot of inspiration form a mod called PiƱa Colada. It is a Caco2023 Gold Award Winner. This is a pretty cool mod, and one that still gets pretty crazy, but there is a 75 monster limit on every level put in by the map maker. The other mod I'm taking inspiration for is Insanity Edged also a Caco2023 Award Winner. I am hoping to make a more "vanilla" version of doom than Insanity Edge, as in I'm designing it with the intention of it being played with no mouse look, jump or crouch. But it really impressed me with the exploitation of the map. There are different paths, even different ways you can open locked doors and stuff. You can literally play the same map twice and get a very different experience. I'm not sure I can replicate that, but I am going to aim for a "realised location" you move around in, over a series of spaces and monster cosets.
