Well I have a fair "request" to make tbh, @Sonik.o.fan the D3 machinegun you uploaded looks fuzzy when zoomed in, is there a cleaner version?

I don't know how I didn't notice this the last time I played but it's been a couple years since.

E: Wrong thread. IGNORE!

@Sonik.o.fan Definitely! I've replaced six featured weapons in all, it'll certainly make for a more unique showcasing of assets not seen often I hope.

@Sonik.o.fan Bro your weapon art is fkn sick, but holy shit I just added the shotgun from Mutiny 2.0 to my mod last night and checked the realm and saw you updated the sprites for the trench gun and almost spit my coffee. Never saw the original outside of that old mod so I didn't think it would ever see the light of day again if I didn't nab it. I didn't even know the BFG10K was updated recently until I combed through the armory, which I was also using the old version and promptly updated my copy. FR tho thanks for the updated art, your Q3 style rocket launcher is dope too which I'm also using because the variety of Doom style RLs on R667 is honestly severely lacking.

I saw The Birthday Massacre last year in March, including a preshow meet and greet, they're awesome and have been one of my all-time favorites since discovering their music in 2009.

Just wanna let OP know I'll be submitting my map once I finish my Doom mod for Dec 10, hopefully there's still slots left if it's a concern, I know the deadline is the beginning of next year but I won't force you to wait that long lol. Great to see so many pitching in, it's honestly a very fun game to creatively task yourself. -
yes. I too am also a human. my face skin needs moisturizer. like real human!

Well I voted coffee but typically I feel tired often to some degree and my sleep is a heavy variable in terms of length and quality, the two of which do not really correlate. For example I can get very little sleep but feel completely fine, and then there's opposite of that where I slept a shitload but feel like garbage anyway. Overall I often have more trouble going to sleep on time and falling asleep in that first crucial hour, on really bad days I can lay restless for up to five fkn hours.

give me scenarios where stupid dumbass barons don't completely suck

@Li'l devil Yep the Belphegor. Even just a more aggressive attack certainly helps differentiate him from just being an imp with way more health and a more damaging fireball. -
@Li'l devil And with the music turned off, the lack of ambient sounds ala Quake makes navigating the lifeless environment rather unnerving.

Ugh, seven more free days to finish my modding project before the big 3-0 for Doom. Hope I have enough time left to actually play it myself before unleashing it on an unsuspecting public.

@Rudolph Civil Protection / metro cops are still human, Overwatch soldiers were human, you can see the Combine's handiwork inside the Citadel in the form of Stalkers. OW are processed humans, faceless clone troopers to police the remaining humanity and quell any resistance efforts, effectively acting as the Combine's presence on Earth.

Looks like the Doomguy put on a few extra pounds from eating too many of these.

what was doomworld like in the early 2000s and early 2010s?
Lila Feuer replied to Johnny Cruelty's topic in Everything Else
Tbf my first impressions of the greater Doom community was Skulltag forums in 2009 and ZDoom forums circa 2010-2012, I initially recall liking those communities more, but really thinking and looking back (then, especially ST since well you know) they were actually more annoying, particularly in regards to their moderation staff compared to DW's. -
@Jello In terms of worldbuilding yes it makes sense, it's a high stress situation, some keep their cool and some don't and make mistakes, it's what makes them HUMAN after all ahahaha. I would like to see them try and bait the player with the grenade though.

I at least got to witness the end of this era, long live the fish! -
I was kinda mislead that the Doom and Quake scenes were drying up by the turn of the millenium and stuff because the TEAMShambler reviews page for Quake stopped being updated in I think 2003, and Sir Robin's site wasn't being updated anymore, and my interests were shifting to other games at the time too so. Glad this was never actually the case.

what would the legal ramifications be for the uac causing the hell invasion?
Lila Feuer replied to roadworx's topic in Doom General
Well seeing as Doom was once an Aliens game and the UAC are essentially Weyland-Yutani, then yeah they'll just replace their president and the rest of the top brass with someone else. It's just an "accident" after all, totally not at all a top secret experiment gone wrong in an attempt to exploit the other reality for military applications. -

Honestly kind of annoying when I joined, but I was also not exactly in the best place, both environmentally and mentally. I was Losered once. I've been here on and off since like 2017 or something. You don't really get toxic trouble nowadays unless you make it yourself. What doesn't go away though? WARNINGS! I deserved it but it kinda sucks the person I was rude to in 2017 flat out just bailed from the damn forums not long after, so my crappy comment was really not worth it. -
There is some broken images I've been seeing
Lila Feuer replied to RonLivingston's topic in Everything Else
Occasionally I'll see broken pfps, both on mobile and desktop. -
Part of me was wondering if the reason I don't really see it in Quake is because there isn't much to keep track of and execute due to the simple Doom pathfinding AI of alert, roam, attack, pain, and die. Whereas in Half-Life there's more that the enemy keeps track of and jumps to in its schedule depending on what's happening around it or to it, thus resulting in more calls being made to land on a null state more often. I especially noticed it with human enemies like the HECU. In fact the worst instance is when they'll plant a grenade down and then proceed to guard it like a mother goose sitting on its eggs. You don't have to imagine what happens next.
