  6. Hi, i have a question. Can anybody explain to me how the source port these days can make a 2.5D game able to look up and down?? Cause the 3d we see in Doom, they are not real are they?? People been saying they are an illusion, 2d data with added height data, and there are no real 3d model inside the game. So how can this gimmick be achieved??

    can you give me links, please? I am just trying to understand how graphic works in game, so my next question is how does a 2.5d game being rendered?? I know a height "data" is added to the engine, but can someone explain it a bit more detail?? thanks

    I finally found out the confusion. I am actually referring to the true freelook system in Zdoom not y-shearing, so may I ask is Zdoom a 3d game?? and if yes, is it possible to export the map into 3d software??

  15. need some help here... i got stuck in delta lab, i have activated the reactor and still has no power to the elevator to the lab, the light is green but the display panel is red.... can't get through that means no more progress... should i play the level again?? thanks

    issues i have with the BFG edtion

    I have been noticing two main issues with this edition. first, does anyone notice the rendering on the glass especially the one use on glass tubes seems not as good and dull?? i used to admire to those wonderful glass tube filled with water when ever i got to see them, give me calmness in this dense atmosphere this game has... but now, i look at it, and thought, the quality is really bad!! somehow the shader is different, the gloss, the "depth" of the glass including the refraction (the old one i distinctively has "thickness") are gone!! now it looks cheap... the second one is that the vsync issue, just like Rage, even if you enable it, the top still displaying tearing, don't know why... the motion blur, i personally is stupid.... and since i am talking and asking about it, may well report a bug, i found that when a shield is near a door, the door would not open completely, at least wouldn't be large enough for anyone to pass through... and at some angle you can also see the texture of the door would repeat infinitely to the back of the door, much like in the classic doom when you cheat and try to go through sectors don't exist... would love to hear what other people have to say

    oh, that it! i was wondering the same thing, you see, i am just a causal player, i am now playing in veteran model, i am at the later part of the game at the moment, and there seem to be a abundant amount of plasma cell.... thats keep me alive, that why i was actually wondering why, i did play and finished the original doom 3 in hard mode(barely), i guess i just didn't remember it right... anyway, thanks for pointing that out!

    yea. i did jump through them on the going trip, and fell horribly in the return trip. no pillar been moved in between. i finally able to it out of damn luck, it has to be luck cause i did just exactly the same thing as before, i think i happened to leap on that exact spot where the "angle" of the hexagonal pillar's surface that was the closet to the other pillar i was intending to jump on...
  20. hi guys. been playing around with SW, I faced a few gameplay challenges, and tried to get to a place like a SE wikia thing, but it does not exist, so hope you guys can help :) first, that annoying coolies ghost, how can i avoid them being spawn?? and if they are unavoidable, what the best way to kill this mother f****?? I found that the basic, sword i meant are so far somewhat effective, but when I ran into some other situations like they have a mixed bag of enemies types, that stupid ghost can be real pain in the a**!!! ok, the second, what that repair kit for?? and a more of a final thought, does anyone out there feel Lo Wan either run too fast or walk too slow?? thanks guys!!
  21. hi, i am now trying to launch this wad myself. How to do that exactly? I have downloaded GZdoom and have doom2.wad ready in the same folder together with the files I got from Legacy of Suffering. I tried to drag the LOS.pk3 file to the GZdoom's icon, and it did launch, how ever, i ran in some issues, first, i can't reload my shotgun even though i did assign a key to it, the second thing is that i can't look up and down like other wads with GZdoom, don't know if it is supposed to be that way, like the good old Doom... and also the new GZdoom did not come with a .cfg, i managed to downloaded it else where made by another guy, but unsure if that config file is compatible with my GZdoom.... and i also noticed there is another .pk3 called ST-Patch, wondering how to load that at the same time.hope you can guys can help me with this.Thank you!!

    hey. I am stuck with the pillar puzzle at the moment, not that i don't know how to solve it, but there seem to be some codding problem with the jump, is strange that i can jump through the pillars and when in the return trip not being able to do so.... i have died so many times... poor Lo Wang...

    I see. you mentioned forklifts, that made me think of the current level I am playing, level 2 actually, that bloody forklift has a gun on it, is it some typical SW design, everything get to shoot something??
