I think the protagonist was so one dimensional and bland he thought nobody would notice.

I rofl'd at the part where you showcased the bug where the marine performs an execution on a pinky but when the perspective changes, we see an imp being disemboweled. I stopped watching there because I only wanted to be entertained. And I was (music was the clincher).
