    Warming Up
  1. Yeah, I rebuilt the WAD and it's working fine now. And I'm happy to wait for the editor.
  2. Read through the first three pages trying to see if this had been reported before. No reports, then I got lazy. Sorry if it HAS been reported. Loaded up the new version in Win7 x64. Got to the copyright screen, the main loading screen, hit a button to bring up my menu. Screen started flickering between the load screen and a single line of text saying some error message. I quit out using the red X button since nothing else responded. Fortunately, the console caught the error: ********* ERROR ********* W_GetNumForName: BUTTONS not found!Does that make any sense to you at all? I ran it in 1280X800 (16:10) resolution, windowed. Edit: Whoops, wait a minute. I hit "Options" on the menu, THEN it started doing that. Error persisted after I used config.cfg to change my binds a bit and set the resolution to 1920X1080 fullscreen. Edit 2: And now it's working perfectly. It even recognized my XBOX 360 controller right off (though I can't tell it NOT to so I can't set up my keyboard controls o.O). Weird... I'm having a minor issue with that Doom Builder 64 you released a while back (in the old thread). The macro editor does not work at all, and if I save the map without adding a macro, it can't reload it (still). ?!

    Doom 64 TC and DoomBuilder 2

    Y'know, I was all set to thank you for the link, for being so kind as to link me to it instead of being some kind of trollish asshole. "Let me Google that for you" Real nice. I was rushing out the door to work last night when I posted that. That's why I honestly didn't have time to search for it right then.

    Doom 64 TC and DoomBuilder 2

    I've never heard of Doom 64EX before. I don't have time right now to search for it, but if someone has a link, that'd be awesome.

    Derp. Thanks! And just FYI, that link has been dead for a while now.

    Unless I'm mistaken, that should still work. If it doesn't, I'll make it work! lol Post it either way, if you can find it. Until then, I'll keep working on mine.

    Hey, I thought the trap Cyberdemon was a nice touch. :( Nah, I know it's simple. Most of my crap is. I wanted to test the concept first.

    Why do I get the feeling you've already done the entire thing?...

    Thank you, that was exactly what I needed! Now to figure out the lasergun...lol

    Doom 64 TC and DoomBuilder 2

    I'm trying to make them mesh properly. The sprites of the normal monsters and items have all changed to the Doom 64 ones automatically, but the new monsters (i.e. nightmare imp, laser gun, etc.) don't show up. In fact, they are listed as "unknown." By poring over the .ded files, I managed to locate what I thought was the Nightmare Imp's sprite, "NTRO." I also found the Nightmare Imp's editor number, 400. I made them match up (not easy), and DoomBuilder recognizes thing 400 as a Nightmare Imp now. However, the sprite still does not show up! A little help? And here's the doom64_things.cfg (so far it's just the nightmare imp): // Only the new Doom 2 things, use in combination with Doom_thingtypes.cfg monsters { color = 12; // Light Red arrow = 1; title = "Monsters"; width = 20; sort = 1; height = 56; hangs = 0; blocking = 1; error = 2; 400 { title = "Nightmare Imp"; sprite = "NTRO"; } }

    Looking for MP Playtesters

    Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums, though not exactly to DooM mapping. I am working on a simple multi-player ONLY map (as in it is impossible to beat in single-player), and I'm looking for three people to help me test it. Here's the WAD: Thanks! Edit: Derp, I forgot to mention that I'm using jDoom (Doomsday) for this. It's a DooM II map, no custom textures. In fact...I think I only used like ten different textures...I promise though, if this goes past the PoS stage it's in now, I'll expand that a ton. Thanks for understanding... Oh, and I like using curves. Lots and lots of curves...
