    Ummmm... I think they should stay there, the amount of monsters is enough at the moment, it's really hard right now. Well, I suppose there's a lot more monsters on this level right now than is visible here. You can put it where you see fit depending on it's difficulty...

    Here's an updated version, despite the look, the amount of monsters is quite enough so far. You can see I've finished the building in the background, I just need to add the monsters that will go inside it. Also, in case you're wondering, I've used a semi-glitch where there's a giant wall in front of the building's open area that you can't see, it's simple but useful because it means you can't kill the people open out, and they can't attack you either.

    Mine's getting there, dunno how long it'll take. I just know that it's hopefully going to be hard. So far it is but I'm trying to make it like it all over the map without making it impossible...
  4. 14 minutes isn't that long, MAP10 has taken me 30+ minutes and I'm still not finished. Also, MAP08 (I think) took 44:19 for me to do it, pretty hard as well. Nice playthrough though! :)

    OK. The only problem I have with testing is lag issues (I don't know why half the time) or the fact that I'm not a pro at the game at all and revenants and mancubuses give me a hard time if I don't have any cover...

    No, I might later, I busy with this map, and I'm trying to finish Reverie. Here's some more screenshots! The start... The start of the outside area, don't worry, there's a plasma rifle in there, you just can't see it in this shot ;). It's a lot of fun, it's called "Death Below".

  8. Hmmmmm... I think I hit the gray switch first because the platform is raised and the lift is open. I just don't know how to get the blue key. EDIT: I found where the blue key is, I don't know how to get there, the ceiling is lowered so I can't get up to it. EDIT2:I've got the blue key!

    Okay, I've started a new slaughter map. This is going to be relatively big, certainly not cramped and it's based in hell. We're allowed to do it in a cave right? It's still very open.

    CheckIWAD: IWAD tag doom2.wad not present. I get that message even though both doom.wad and doom2.wad are in the prBoom folder :/.

    prBoom refuses to play any of my Ultimate Doom/Doom 2 IWADs, and that means I can't really use it.

    I agree as well. Also, if the maps are going to have 14,000+ enemies then how is it going to be fun? I probably won't even be able to play it because it would lag so much. 1,000 is still kinda ridiculous because I could simply go Doom Builder, create a massive square and some stands and then fill it up with monsters. Why would it take so long? I've got an old map that can be used but I was just testing stuff in it.
  15. MAP08 is really hard. The blue key was probably the hardest there. It's the puzzles that took so long because I couldn't figure them out. It took 44:19 to complete the map :P.

    You must've got confused with the filename, Filesmelt put a 1 on the end of it for some reason. The map is on MAP02.

    Well, I know for sure mine isn't because I'm running it on a pretty slow PC right now and it's pretty smooth. I've updated the level with more monsters. Added 2 Barons of Hell, 4 Revenants, a bunch of Cacodemons, and more Hell Knights. Of course more shotgun guys and zombiemen included.     So, should I change or add a few cacodemons, revenants and more hell knights? I didn't speedmap either, it took about 6 hours but I'm not amazing at mapping fast which is why it took so long :P.

  22. I know I've been posting a lot of maps lately, but today I have made a even better level that I think is pretty good. With this one, I've used my old wall and cieling style details and I'm having a go at lighting in rooms. My old maps were usually one solid lighting apart from some TLITEs on the ceiling or the odd terminal. I have used the CC4 texture pack as well because there's a lot inside it I wanted to use... The music is one that I found inside Jenesis2.wad, it goes pretty well and credit to the author because it's awesome. This map is only playable on a limit-removing port (Skulltag/GZDoom).     I'm getting MAP02 done quite fast so far, it's got a techbase theme to it if that's ok, it's what I'm best at. I might get it done by today but it'll be quite difficult.

    I didn't think it required any more monsters, felt a bit tight as it was. I think it turned out good IMO.
  25. This is amazing! It's the best megawad I've ever played by far, and it's quite the challenge as well. I'm loving it, MAP06 so far. MAP05 (I think) gave me a bit of trouble since I got hit a lot and I was running round on 15% health. I'm not complaining about being on 15% health most of the time either, really adds to the gameplay. Well done!
