If there were to be another Doom movie made, in the actual spirit of the game itself, I'd love to bring him back for another run as the Doomguy.

What do you listen when you are extremely furious?
Spazman replied to massacrebosco's topic in Everything Else
What I choose usually depends on what sort of 'furious' mood I'm actually in. If it's anger-furious / mad or what-not, I'd usually listen to some Jamie Cullum (British Jazz/Pop and Pianist) or some Elton John.. something with a piano in it, but isn't stuff like Rush, which is set aside for good-mood-me. When it comes to furious like I'm both pissed off / frustrated, or the like, usually some Metal suffices. Put on some Diamond Head, black Sabbath, Pantera, or something on a heavier level, once again, depending on the level of 'furious' I'm at. Perhaps that's something to work from? -
*raises glass* G'luck.

Thanks a ton, dude. Perhaps if I can get Maes to help me out with Dimitri's Voice Acting again (And some VAs for the other marines), I can start back up the VA portion of the game : >

Be warned, the above link is to an OOOOOLD version of the game. There's been a lot done since that update.

Still working on it. Hope to get the Command Control / Marine Quarters done by the time Summer hits.

Still working on it, guys :D

Probably my first post in a while, but one that seemed worthy of making. Not sure how many have heard the news, but Metallica's old bassist ('87-'00, I think), Jason Newsted, just put out a new EP from his new band, entitled "Metal". IMO, it sounds like he ripped the musical balls from Metallica, and placed them into this. (Kind-of a weird-ish way of explaining it) here's a link to the video, for those interested. (Still don't exactly know how to use the youtube-embedding tags. If it comes up, it's all out of guessing.) Also.. it kinda sounds (to me) like Motorhead. Eh... here's the link. Looks like it'snot showing up... http://youtu.be/4kRWwxCPyjw

I've bought the 4-Song EP, and it seems that the other songs are a bit better than this. IMO, maybe it's the video that made the music crappy to some ears. Music's made to be heard, not watched. Even still, I like it. Of course there's better stuff, but this is better than most of what's out there. (Speaking in terms of other genres, not metal-wise.)

THanks, guys. Gimme a little time, I can probably post a little more.

Trying a bit more Vanilla mapping: http://i.imgur.com/WhJZv.png?1

Thanks for the move, Essel. I didn't know whether or not to post this in EE, or here. (Considering there was no Doom content) As for art stuff today, (which I will be postingt when I get back to the house), I'll need to relearn drawing Human proportions / Doomguy's armor to get any good art of him drawn. I'll -try- to see if I can get any decent art of the enemies done, but their likelihood of getting them DONE (Colored / Inked) is kinda low, considering I head back home in just a few hours.
-
Thanks, dude : D Unexpected in what way, may I ask?
-
Not really furry stuff, dude ^^' A lot of the work I do is based on the (Archie) Sonic comic : > But yeah, I'll be sure to post some doom stuff later.

If anyone's played this, could I get some feedback from it? I'm trying to work on a bit of a side-project with a buddy of mine to improve the map-tiling, but I was needing to know if the coding for the statpoint / perk system was holding up. I'm pretty sure there's some fighting-balance issues, which we'll adress soon if anyone can provide commentary on this.

Strife: Absolute Order - 20/11/2012 download from /idgames!
Spazman replied to Khorus's topic in WAD Releases & Development
This has me wanting to try some Strife mapping now.. Also, I downloaded / played it. Pretty good for what's there so far. Can't wait to see more : ) -
Anyone try this out yet? uploaded to /idgames not too long ago, needed some feedback on it.

I'd say it's about time for me to release another map, but in its full version. "Rust in Peace", another 'Deth-inspired map / name, contains what I've been working on for the past few days (with some off and on here and there). If one looks hard enough, you can tell where I used one of my older maps, "Train of Consequences", for the base of this. Since that map was made, I've made quite a few new areas, with some help from GeneralRainbowBacon. Most of the monster placement was done by me on this one (which is a first.), with GRB doing all the monster placement in the underground / hellish areas. (Minus the starting area.) I've been able to speedrun this on UV pretty well, and managed to ALMOST beat it on Nightmare. (either I suck or this thing's a challenge.) Pretty good map for DM as well. Lots of out-of-the-way places, towers to shoot down from, nooks and crannies to hide in, the like. Big map, me and a few friends of mine had fun with it, hope everyone else can have the same : ) Here's the DL link: http://www.mediafire.com/?7kn8q0bba80ev3a

http://www.mediafire.com/?de6gvo9au1okigt Here's another Download link. Music's changed to something more fitting, and I realized I forgot to fix a mistake in some of the lifts. Nothing game-breaking, but it didn't allow passage into one of the towers in the map.

I'll probably make another map with that song in it in the future. But using that song in this WAD would kinda defeat the purpose of the name. **
-
Yeah, I know. Though, the midi for RIP didn't exactly fit the map well : P (Name came from the use of abandoned nuclear missile silos near the end of the map. <Crudely made>)
-
Lol, I guess I could change it to "Doom: Operation Darkside", but I'd wanted to fit the game along the lines of the Alpha story, retaining the episode names as well ^^'

Getting ready to head to practice with my buddies and such. Louisville Punk-rock FTW.

bleh, it was just a bit of something I decided to rig up, is all ._.

Just decided to do it. Was a quick one, but fun to do : )
