  1. It's the multiplayer noob again...

     

    I tried invasion and survival game modes last night. Survival is a blast, with or without other players! Gives a good, satisfying feeling of comradery to boot.

     

    Invasion, on the other hand... might be better if I was not playing alone, but eventually what would happen is, I'd die, respawn in the center and be unable to break out, so I die again, repeat until the spawn point is completely buried in monsters. Then all I can do is telefrag some when I spawn and maybe get a chance to fire the SSG before I die. Not trying that again until I have teammates!

      And invasion is fun but there is a serious lack of new good invasion map sets, some just get too grindy or go retard with the ammount of custom monsters/weapons, we are basically left with alpha&delta and armageddon, both very old and not very interesting after having played them so much. Complex invasion is fine but the lives system makes lives pretty much unlimited.

    Goals were to make a map that is 'conventionally challenging' as opposed to 'really hard', and to use limit removing triggers instead of Boom ones, so -complevel 2. Should take 15 minutes or fewer. Has HMP/UV.

     

    It's an ancient palace set in a ginormous volcanic rift.
