    I will soon start developing the second map using TrenchBroom.

    I've gathered all in-game screenshots I've made during development of the first map, which you can find at the new website:

      The original Hexen II is enough.
      There's aren't many Hexen II projects but there's a Hexen II community work thread at the Quakeone.com forums. Some really nice stuff there.

      Yes, the focus lies more on the action. I decided to do this because the original egyptian maps had some very annoying puzzles and I wanted to take a different approach.

      This is my first map I've ever made on a true 3D engine so I'm basically learning as I go. Unfortunately this also means that I have to spend more time figuring out how everything works.
      I'm pouring alot of my free time into this map but I can't give you any details about a release right now.
      Be sure to check my site for updates if you're interested, because Doomworld isn't really the best place for posting my Hexen II news ofcourse :)

      Don't worry, this pack will be have a little more focus on action and less puzzles. I still have nightmares about that floor puzzle :p

      Yeah it's a shame there aren't any big communities anymore. Hexen 2 is only the beginning though...I'm planning to make maps for other classics as well, like quake 2, unreal, half-life etc.

      I actually started that blog to support those games.

      Yeah, I remember that very frustrating puzzle in one of the original Egypt maps where you had to step on those symbols and got teleported back if you missed. Definitely won't implement that one ;)
