I tried running in PrBoom+ (software mode). It still lags. EDIT: Scratch that. Beta 2 runs fine on PrBoom+.

Thanks for releasing this great megawad, but Map 29 is still under-performing in a very serious way. I am experiencing no noticeable performance improvement between Beta 1 and Beta 2 on Map 29 (testing with two different versions of ZDoom (2.5.0 and 2.6.0)). I am running a quad-core 3.00GHz Intel CPU, so I imagine that my hardware is not the problem. Thanks.

Does anyone know what happened to this WAD? I was looking forward to it. -
I'm trying to play Ed C.'s Putrefier, but I'm unfortunately experiencing rather poor performance. First off, here are my system specs: Intel Core 2 Quad 3.00GHz Radeon HD 6950 2GB 6GB DDR3 RAM I downloaded the most recent build of GZDoom (r1505), along with trying some old ones, and in all of them the performance in certain areas is quite atrocious (gets down to around 20 frames per second in some cases). As Ed instructed in his Putrefier thread, I disabled fog (which did improve the frame rate somewhat, but did not eliminate the aforementioned large drops). The only thing that returns the frame rate to its normal level is disabling dynamic lights (disabling all other dynamic light settings but leaving dynamic lights on does not help). The problem is that dynamic lights are clearly a huge part of the map's aesthetic quality, so turning them off seriously hurts the experience. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there any other way to fix it besides disabling dynamic lights completely?

I've been playing through Temple of the Lizardmen 2, and it's truly fantastic. I'm really looking forward to TOTLM3.

This wad is pretty funny.

No matter what version of ZDoom I try, this wad creates an error and prevents ZDoom from booting.

I've been playing a bit of this wad. It's great so far.

Back to Saturn X E1: 1.1.6 bugfix

Wow. I want to extend a sincere thanks to everyone involved in this project. BTSX is the most beautiful wad I've ever encountered. The use of color is astonishing. From my experience so far, it managed to make me feel nostalgic at points, while at other times giving me the sense that I was playing a completely new game. This more than makes up for the missing Cacowards. -
