  1. I might come back from hiatus as well to make some midis once my school stuff wraps up after the 16th.
  2. I posted a "hey guise I never made a map before, better join a megawad project" in the thread on Zdoom years ago for this. E1M6 vs MAP25 (unfinished, play if you want or don't) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39292814/bloodprocessing.wad I didn't finish it. Maybe 25 to 30% of layout finished, even less than that gameplay and detailing. No difficulties It's all vanilla textures and resources, but Zdoom/Gzdoom/Zandro compatible only for no good reason. Layout perhaps too copy-paste and not enough creative expansion. Also somehow easier than either e1m6 or map25. Midi by me.
  3. Screenshots look rad guys. PS rather than using my dumpster midis, I'd also like to take a crack at making a midi specifically for a particular map so once a demo comes out I'd be glad to
  4. Paul D's midi dumpola post: Most of these have minimal volume changes. Not all of these have my metadata, but they're all mine I can tell you that for sure "American Doom" https://www.dropbox.com/s/zkj3f42w14mjric/americandoom2.mid?dl=0 Doomy remake of "American Patrol" marching song "From Chaos to Creation" https://www.dropbox.com/s/3il9dx1surc4jcc/chaostocreation.mid?dl=0 Midi of a short intro track on Virgin Steele's "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell: Part 2" I'm also working on a midi of the song it transitions into "Twilight of the Gods" https://www.dropbox.com/s/49ap54snmfp53zx/dreamsong.mid?dl=0 A song I heard in a dream and woke up in the morning to make a short midi of https://www.dropbox.com/s/0gqjqsg9xdybnxk/dreamsongmetalized.mid?dl=0 Metal-ed up version of previously mentioned song "Hunting Adrian" https://www.dropbox.com/s/h5z1cavhrbapxkx/Hunting%20Adrian.mid?dl=0 Mashup remix of DooM e1m6 and DooM 2 map25 "Hush" https://www.dropbox.com/s/nw70u9zxugzkjqo/hush2.mid?dl=0 Originally a midi done up for a NOVA 1 map by somebody who disappeared and never submitted "Misery" https://www.dropbox.com/s/4vxup54c8hnz65a/misery.mid?dl=0 Midi of the song "Misery" off of Beethoven's Last Night by Trans Siberian Orchestra. Does not include vocal track, however. "Port Of Evil" https://www.dropbox.com/s/a7insv4s1tdq5mj/Portofevil.mid?dl=0 A very liberal mashup of "Touch of Evil" by Judas Priest and "Port of Adia" theme from Turok 2: Seeds of Evil https://www.dropbox.com/s/3d4v0cf1bg0c1zi/riff2.mid?dl=0 It sounds too much like some other midi I've heard in some wads but it's okay I guess. "Teeth of the Hydra" https://www.dropbox.com/s/ik02v14qwkg1npg/teeth%20of%20the%20hydra.mid?dl=0 The first few bars of "Teeth of the Hydra" by the band Omen. Might try to do up the rest of the song as well, will update link as necessary if I do.
  5. I for one think you should use only vanilla flats and textures and modified versions of vanilla flats and textures NOVA used only vanilla resources and some maps were amazing.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWrwYsSt6OE Mate your map totally needs to have a midi of this as the back ground music ahaha
  7. Here, I did a thing: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3il9dx1surc4jcc/chaostocreation.mid?dl=0 If you guys don't use it, I'm gonna use it for a mini-episode for Heretic.
  8. I'd like to contribute if possible. I contributed marginally to NOVA with 2 maps (well one map was just a rework of the other) and 3 midis (and 2 midis I found but did not create). Cos aside from that I've done nothing at all to contirbute to this community
  9. work in process https://www.dropbox.com/s/x98ntl1zhduiv8p/run%20for%20your%20life.mid?dl=0
  10. I did a thing https://www.dropbox.com/s/l5dkf4zict3gnxv/22815.mid?dl=0 sort of weird mix between a certain riff from a Turok 2 song, the vocals from a Judas Priest song, DnB dance type music, dunno really Could probably use a little less sloppy editing, in particular some fade ins and fade outs, but I just threw this together in like 3 hours so whatever. Drums also seem kind of boring as well.
  11. Been slowly working on some midis, but I've had to take a break due to some hearing loss issues, after I've gone to the ear doctor and get my issues sorted out I'll get back to making stuff.
  12. I made a thing- https://www.dropbox.com/s/4vxup54c8hnz65a/misery.mid
  13. I saw this: If this is the case, can you help me with something I'm working on? I'll pm you the details if you're interested.
  14. Count me in, at least for the music department. I've been working on quite a few things, just need a little motivation to finish them up. Maybe I'll collab on the maps, I still have a couple scraps from NOVA one that we never used or did anything with.
  15. Hey suite, Katamori's video shows what happens if you don't fight the blue key monsters inside the blue key room. The monsters wake up, teleport into the blue key room, and then as they walk through the red/blue glowing wall area, they are teleported into the main hub room and at two spots in the room directly below. However, when he loaded from his save, he also showed the mapping problem associated with it: If you don't actually shoot in the blue key room, or in the other room with the lift lowered, the monsters don't actually trigger. Maybe I should revise it so that the monsters trigger unconditionally (join to some dummy sector earlier in the map)? It's interesting to see how differently different people play the same map though. Also, I intentionally made the red key area "optional" because I figured once you already knew you could get the yellow key, if you tried the skip the red key area the rest of the map is rather difficult without the SSG (pistol start at least). And the reason the map is so inconsistent is because it was my first "complete" map, but I kept revising it occasionally over about eight or nine months, so the newer parts definitely reflect that.
  16. At least, I know for SURE that you will get visplane crashes on both of my maps.
  17. from what I know, this project isn't made to be 100% chocolate doom compatible to begin with, but I could be wrong.
  18. Hey guys, Just a few corrections to the novainfo.txt I would like to note: 1. The music for map 29 (Extorta Nova) is not what is listed in the text file. Some time in early 2013, I showed fiend-o-hell the current track and he liked it enough to replace the listed track, Map 29's track is "Castle Cimmeria" theme from the Lands Of Lore: Throne of Chaos soundtrack, Composed by Frank Klepacki, Paul S. Mudra & Dwight K. Okahara Map 31's midi is actually "ohno2.mid", "quickfast.mid" was not used in Nova, but it was used in dobu gabu maru's standalone map (the one he made for nova, and decided it was too big so released it on its own)
  19. I really don't think I'd have any time to work on Immaterium at until at least December 12th. Sorry gang but school+work is kicking my butt

    Turok Doom Anyone?

One time I made the first 3 areas of Port of Adia, and I made a doomy knockoff of the hub area from turok 2. also, this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39292814/primagen.mid primagen's lightship theme midi But I was new at midi making when i made it so it's not quite spot on
  21. @EvilNed Re: brace Brace Yourself by Jochen Miller http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-1FzpVxhAY a segment of this is the source. yours, interestingly, sounds like it's on the way back to the original
  22. Omg release scheduled for my birthday. I better try to get some work done, but honestly I've been staying quiet and not checking up much on the DooM scene for a few months now. Anyway, I'm down to work on finishing my map at some point, and possibly make more tunes if needed. Got school and work so there's limited time for me to do stuff but I will see what i can allocate
  23. Okay i finished Immundum. missed one secret and 4 kills. I used IDDT and found the kills were monsters stuck in teleport trap closets, so I just ignored trying to find them. my displayed time was 1:47:30, but counting saves I'd say the map took me a good hour longer, or more. However, I'm pretty sure it would be impossible for me to beat this with no saves and no mouse, which is kind of a shame because no-save keyboard only is my preferred play style for DooM. anyway- Dobugabumaru I still think you should use different music, and I think I have something in mind that would work pretty well- A midi of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtnW8w3e-7Q I probably only think that because I was playing this tune during my last ( and completed) playthrough and the lyrics really matched the atmosphere (despite there being no possible way to put lyrics in the midi) On the whole, this tune gives a sort of bleak but defiantly heroic feel to the level that I think would fit it very well.
  24. I was savescumming my way through it and made it to the end, but didn't exit because there were still over 200 monsters left. Unfortunately I found the red key super secret hell area and I'm stuck now.
