  1. I'm much more offended that Bucket chose to pay homage to a late-era Genesis track, when their earlier stuff exists. When can I get some midi-fied homages to White Mountain? Or The Fountain of Salmacis? On a more serious note, I think it's a little cute to be discussing the grey area of homage vs. plagiarism when Steve Hackett did this: (Not that I think it's a problem or anything, Hackett's one of my favourite guitarists.)

    I'd go the other way, let the mapper include whatever they want (new map, music, textures, etc.), but they aren't allowed to submit a WAD file larger than 128kb. It would be cool to see who pushes things with either a larger map using stock resources, or a smaller map but with more of a custom theme.
  3. There isn't much else left to be done, especially because I am posting what really should be my final update at this point. I spotted a couple errors with item placement, and I also fixed a couple other tiny bugs I'd noticed playing the map through earlier today.

  7. Here's my final update (hopefully!), fixing the bugs shown in Leodoom's video as well as a couple others I noticed. I also added difficulties, finally. Also the midi was changed to something a little more fitting (and hopefully a little more indicative of the map's major influence, given the recent plagiarism drama lol). Feeling Run Down v. 3
  8. I wasn't aware of your video until now, but thanks for pointing it out! I'll make the necessary fixes now. One thing I'm worried about is that later in your video the silver key fight doesn't work properly, were you playing on the correct compatibility level? That floor which reveals the imps/invul sphere/ etc. is supposed to lower immediately. I just checked on my end and it works as intended in prBoom. Anyways, thanks for the vid!

  17. I just saw this and I'm playing through it now. Map 10 is one of the best maps I've ever played, just an absolute delight from start to finish. It even has an effective Spider Mastermind (though I hadn't found the BFG by the time I fought it)!! The music and texture theming also did a lot of work in tying everything together - it's exactly the kind of thing I'd expect in a Skillsaw project as a standout map. Good job! I'm hoping the following maps keep this up, I'll be super impressed if that's the case.

    My recent experience is to avoid stairs and monster teleport closets, as they create a lot of lines and sectors. Anyways, I have a tiny update for my map, to fix some bugs and stuff: mutt64.zip Map 27, as always. I really feel like this could turn into some kind of community project. A megawad full of >64kb maps! It would be nice and small, and a nice challenge to try and make it as robust and complete as possible.

    Hello, I really like the idea of this limit, so I felt like making as complete/full a map as possible within 64kb. Here's what I have: mutt64.zip It plays in map 27, and is 63.7kb in size unzipped. I've only played through it a couple times so it'll need more testing, but it should be fully maxable and vanilla compatible! Enjoy!

I'm feeling positive about what the exit poll will say at 10PM. Ah yes, the one politician who has been speaking out against the neo-liberal politics of the last 40 years, which included prime ministers such as David Cameron, Tony Blair, and Margaret fucking Thatcher, is the reason for the UK having gotten progressively worse for the last 40 years. The man who has not actually been in power at any point during the last 4 years of the Brexit shotshow. You are an absolute clown.

    Post your Doom textures!

    Eyo folks, I have an update for MISCTEX.wad, now sitting around 800 textures/flats. I still have a bunch of stuff I want to add, but for now I'm really happy with how things are sitting. Biggest thing is the much more robust selection of skies (the ones posted through the last few pages are super cool!), and now there are 47 of them in there. As always, please let me know if there are any issues w/ the resource file or the credits!
