My confession is that I only play Brutal Doom anymore.

Big guns, big explosions, lots of demons, lots of blood and guts, and hopefully good level exploration.

I think Doomguy should be gay and talk with a lisp.

Sounds good to me. Doom 4 will be a smash hit.

Well, telling from all the impressions that have been given by eye witnesses of the demo, you are most likely wrong.

I have had so many messed up dreams, including one where my mother had a big, giant, red penis that was ejaculating all over the place. That one traumatized me so much that I actually told her about it and then she laughed at me. I also have had many naked dreams where I show up to work naked or go to school with no pants. Those suck. I also hate the dreams where I show up to work like 10 hours late and I have the horrible fear of losing my job. Those suck too.

Hmm. I would have preferred glowing red eyes, but, oh well. You can't have everything you want in this world.

Ah man. I really hope there are some pinkies in the new Doom. They are one of my favorite monsters. Love blowing those big guys away.

It would just be cool to kick some enemies into a pool of lava or nuclear waste and watch them burn up and melt.

I just want to see components of original Doom more fleshed out and added upon really. Nothing too radically new. However, I hope they can come up with some creative new monsters that aren't just derivations of monsters that we already have. I mean, do we really need another imp like create that just throws fireballs and what not? I think the wraith from Doom 3 was a pretty interesting creature, however, he wasn't executed well enough. His teleportation abilities did nothing but simply delay the inevitable shotgun blast to the face. If they could reintroduce the wraith and flesh him out and make more interesting to fight, that would be a welcome addition to the new Doom. And also some cool new weapons would be sweet too like remote mines of proximity mines that you can set up booby traps with. Maybe a plasma bomb type of device that emits a BFG like explosion would be a cool weapon too.

One thing that I want to return in the new Doom are the environmental hazards like nuclear waste, lava, etc. There wasn't too much of that in Doom 3.

Mixture of dark, ambience with metal at the appropriate times like during big firefights.

Even if Doom 4 is just a BD copycat, for a lot of people that is a major plus. There are a lot of people across the internet who want the new Doom to be just like BD. I don't see how copying BD could hurt Doom 4's success whatsoever.

Damn, if Romero likes it, then it has to be good.

Wow. I'd figured that Mark would be happy that Id took some inspiration from his mod. I thought he would be like "WOW! THEY'RE COPYING MY MOD! I AM THE MOST AWESOME MOD MAKER EVER! I AM THE GOD OF DOOM!" and then when the game actually gets released he would be like "I AM THE REASON DOOM 4 IS SO AWESOME! SAY THANK YOU!" I am surprised that he is upset in the least about this. Not like he can do a damn thing about it. After all, if it wasn't for the creation of vanilla Doom in the first place, his mod wouldn't even exist.

I really do hope that Id doesn't forget the exploration aspect of Doom. They seemed to remember everything else that made the game great such as fast paced combat that is not cover based but movement based. However, exploration is what is missing from today's shooters.

Well, my hope after hearing that this Crytek guy was hired is that after the new Doom gets released and hopefully its a financial success, that perhaps he will help in making the sequel to the new Doom which I assume would be a Hell on Earth scenario and hopefully would have beautiful, HUGE environments with tons of demons in them. IMAGINE THE AWESOMENESS!
