Ah yes, the inexplicable IWAD inclusions, heh. Guess I forgot to re-replace those when you submitted your update, this should fix it right up. As for the Zandronum error, I imagine it's to do with Zandro being based on an older version of GZDoom and therefore not able to cope with the newer stuff: ZDoom does the same thing when you try to load up the compilation in there. -

...you maybe implement something that doesn't ask someone to remember a 20-character password? I get wanting to make sure security is up to snuff, but it's still a very obnoxious requirement.

Abyssal Speedmapping Session 69 - RIP ASS (Complete!)

The thread before this one: remember, session 68 is at the end of this month! Yes indeed, here we are. The Abyssal Speedmapping Sessions (acronymized as ASS) started way back when in the heady days of 2013, where the absolute schlub you see before you tried to reignite the mapping passions of the Abyss forums via the medium of frantically throwing linedefs at an editor over Skype: I may not have succeeded in that aspect, but considering I can look back at over sixty compilations of speedmaps over a span of nine years - all of them wearing that delightfully crude acronym - I think it's fair to say that something went right. It's something that couldn't have happened without the efforts of the Doom community: the individuals who stepped up to run the show when I was unable, the people who brought cheer and laughs to the many mapping calls held over the years and - of course - every single mapper who showed up and had a good time making their maps. And now, we find ourselves at session 69. Nice. This will indeed the the last Abyssal Speedmapping Session, at least in this iteration: maybe something will take its place in due time, maybe the spectre of its influence will linger over the community endeavors of the future, but the ASS as we know it today officially ends next month. It's been a wild ride, full of mishaps and memes, but everyone's gotta get off the ride sometime. Thanks again to everyone who helped make the sessions what they are today and I look forward to what comes next. -
What is your favorite visual theme you've seen in a WAD?

Finished playing Jade Earth recently and the "marble techbase" theming is something I found pretty cool. I'm always a sucker for unorthodox texture combinations and Jade Earth is one of the better examples. -
