First, I think it's lame to compare engines like this. Engines are engines. If there was one good engine that was better than any other, all games would be using it. Different engines work for different types of gameplay. Secondly I think it's lame to start a poll about the best engine and only have 4. It's like online personality tests.

I was correct. Hell Knight = Mantra. It was his first wad. (Back in the day he had me play it. I recorded a demo of it, but I'm 100% positive I don't still have it.) A good first wad, but he has a tendency to put his old wads behind him and wish they never existed.

Anyone ever notice how Skynet likes to send one and only one terminator on the most critically important missions? Is it afraid that more than one will blow their cover? I think it's safe to say that every Terminator blows their cover pretty quickly anyway.

Well, I ran zdoom with the old batman.deh and I had the same problem as Ultimate Doomer. (No problem with prboom) Are you sure you included the right one? Edit: I checked, and yes, you did include the later version. But the problem happens with both patches. I'm pretty sure I know what's wrong, though. Dehacked allows you to change the number of cells used by the BFG, but Randy said that for some reason, he was having trouble with weapons and ammo expenditures (with the incorporation of Heretic and Hexen weapons) and so he made it that you need to specify in the DEH how many shots each weapon uses with new zdoom commands. In other words, unless we make yet another new patch, Batman Doom cannot be run properly in zdoom.

Besides. Freedoom has a great ring to it (sounds like freedom). Freecraft doesn't have that same quality. Doomnation had the same little gimmick that just made the name all that better. May it rest in peace.
