when I was a kid my friend had these. they were never as cool as the toys i played with, but they were okay.
I am in a motel room, waiting for my temp job to start. so i should be mapping. but I can't.. I just.. I'm not that... making good doom maps is so hard. If you have any ideas of what you'd like to see in a doom map, you could post it here, and I'll try to do it in my map. I really like Florence and the Machine and Marina and the Diamonds. You should like them too. This is so the wrong forum to recommend those singers. But... what are ya gonna do? I am not a robot.- Show previous comments 14 more

A large number of lifts in a series of concentric circles whereby each ring of lifts is higher and higher as you approach the goal which is somewhere in the outermost ring. Pillars and dead ends will meet you if you navigate the wrong way and at times it should be necessary to backtrack toward an inner ring to get closer to the exit. The entire formation should be generally visible from any part of the ring, kind of like a stadium. Enemies should mainly consist of imps so that the attacks are dodgeable and not unreasonably punishing if the player is hit. The focus is more on puzzle-solving and less on carnage and survival.

Maybe I'll do it AB. It could be cool if requisite time and effort was put into it. I actually have a wad that I am working on that I had started couple years ago but never finished. The wad is intriguing enough for me to continue it--although I predict an average star rating on /idgmaes (assuming i ever finish and upload it) of 1.5 stars. But I think it's pretty well known my tastes in doom maps is slightly off of the mainstream tastes.
I am tipsy right now--which makes life more fun. If you are in Albuquerque, or Texas, you should try to pick up some Shiner Bohemian Black Lager, because it is good. Don't be afraid of the dark.
