    Also, I'd like to add a hole in a wall like if there's an explosive can next to it like it in Duke Nukem 3D. if possible, how would I do it in GZDoom Builder or Slade 3?

    Hello, I'm in the process of planning the story behind a standalone iwad id like to make called Nuclear Season (full title Nuclear Season 5? or Just-Like-New Francesco). It's a parody of the Fallout series of games with the 1970s cartoon aesthetic. I'd like to know if it would be possible to add in a quest system for the main quest line as well as any side quests I can think up. I'd also like to make an inventory system like the pip boy in the series. I'm using ZDoom.

    Hi, I'm thinking about making a Duke Nukem-style game with similar graphics, but a friend of mine said it would be easier to use the Quake engine if I wanted to make a standalone game. Would it be possible to use the Quake engine to make sprite-based graphics instead of just 3D models?

    But you can put in sound effects and code the player to say something at a particular event? Because the Duke Nukem style games have that, like when you see an easter egg.

    Running out of ammo

    One thing I've been wondering is that whenever I run out of ammo on one of my weapons, I always revert back to the shotgun automatically. Is there a particular reason why it's the shotgun the game reverts to instead of any other weapon or the weapon that comes before the weapon I previously used? And it's not like I ran out of ammo on everything else.For example, when I run out of ammo on, say, the plasma cannon or BFG, it always goes back to the shotgun.

    I would like to know how I can port Doom or Hexen to other systems, like if there's an android handheld console with a controller-style gamepad. What doom wad or files would I have to use to port it onto there?

    Hey guys, I'm thinking about making a doom clone or total conversion with elements of gothic horror; it's called Bloodletting, but it's probably a temporary title. You play a new recruit for a guild that hunts vampires and werewolves as well as other monsters of gothic nature. I was thinking on putting into the game a shop system kinda like in Strife and medieval style walls like in Hexen. The weapons include a standard crossbow and a special one that fires silver stakes dipped in holy water. What WADS would i have to use for such an idea and would it be possible to import enemies from other games LIKE Doom into the WAD?

    you have a point haha if you find resources like custom made monsters on Realm667's resource page, and change the sprites to some of them, does it count as copyright infringement? oh, and by the way, the new name i thought up for the game is V.L.A.D.(Vampires Live And Die)

    are you able to put in requests for sprites like that? because i was thinking about having the starting weapon be the stake to kill vampires with. that and more traditional vampires, but resemble those in movies like van helsing or something like that. werewolves too

    when I said import enemies from other games, i also meant to change their sprites and, if possible, their behavior. because most of the enemies ive seen use projectile weapons and i want the enemies like werewolves and certain vampires to use melee attacks. Also, I wanted to make it so there would be guild members that can sell some items to you Another thing, what exact files would the IWADS (name of file) be?

    i bought heretic and hexen off steam, so i dont think i have the iwads. what would be the best site to get them from?
