So, yeah, as the title pretty much says, this is my first attempt at making a MIDI. It's not specifically for Doom, but it should loop OK. I don't know if it's the sort of thing you'd normally find in Doom, but I'll leave that for you guys to decide.

I wrote this song when I was about 12-13 (2010), but have only just got around to sequencing it. The only bit I'm unsure of is the bluesy fill in the middle and the acoustic solo that follows it. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the result.
Note that I use a different soundfont to Microsoft's default, so it might sound a bit odd if you use that. Hopefully not though.

Let me know what you think!

      My second MIDI.

This is also a song from 2010, which I co-wrote with my friend for an English/Media project. We both laugh at this song now, calling it lame, especially since we came up with a remastered version using a piano and guitar. I felt the original suited the MIDI format better though.

I really like the first one. While the first part of it is kind of lacking a melody, it's got some really cool rhythm stuff going on in it. The outro's pretty sweet.

Not so keen on the second one. It's not bad, just really bare - the chord progression doesn't change, and it's a pretty standard one. The song itself sounds like a cross between Pendulum's "The Island" and The Final Countdown. Which isn't a criticism, but I still think this song could use some improvement in places.

Nevertheless, I like what I hear. :D Will you be contributing to the Plutonia MIDI Pack? :P

Yeah, outro is my personal favourite bit of it. It's missing something other than a melody though, I think some extra instruments wouldn't go amiss. I intended a piano to be included actually, but it ended up only getting 1 bar in that blues scale in the middle :|

I must thank you a lot for this feedback actually, I'm going to forward this comment to the co-writer. He sprung it on me this morning that we are playing the remastered version of the song next Tuesday, and I did think myself that the same Am | FM | CM | GM for 2 minutes can get a bit dull to the listener. I'll see if I can come up with a middle 8 of some sort for it.

He wants me to do the piano (Brightness on MIDI) arpeggios at the end too, since they were just a small tweak I made when sequencing. This should be interesting...

Heh, possibly. I'll take a look at the list and see if there's anything I might be able to come up with anything.
